Guest guest
Here's my take on this, FWIW. I believe that there are other conditions or situations which can damage or impair the parts of the brain that are affected in autism, hence you can have kids with genetic conditions like Fragile X that appear very much like autism. However, I believe the majority of kids manifesting these symptoms have succumbed to systematic poisoning. I know several who were not vaxed, and they were traced to antimony toxicity. A few I know with lead problems. The Pandas variety appears to be viral, altho I don't know if those kids were vaxed or not. >> Have they gotten mercury exposure some other way, or is some > autism caused by one or more different environmental toxins? Yep, different toxins. Dana

I don't know what all causes of autism are, and I personally doubt that anyone does. KNOW, that is. Actually know. I think mercury is certainly a significant contributing factor. Other metals: also quite likely. Please note that BOTH exposure to metals and individual vulnerability to metals are factors here, it is not all about exposure. I think " individual vulnerability " may be largely genetic, although there are certainly other possibilities. Also, some of the EFFECTS of mercury (e.g. reduced immune function) may also be " a cause " (e.g. mercury toxicity results in lower immune function, and then exposure to viruses may result in autism....) Viruses may be a cause or contributing factor. I know that oxygen deprivation (e.g. during birth) can cause brain damage, and I have heard it said or implied that this can be a cause or contributor to autism, but I'm not certain about this. Same with head shape/ head pressures--- the idea seems plausable, but I don't know if this really results in autism. good wishes, Moria
Guest guest
>My question is, what about the children with autism > who were not > > vaxed at all? Have they gotten mercury exposure some other way, >or is some > > autism caused by one or more different environmental toxins? -- Some unvaccinated kids have been affected by rhogam injections, their mothers' leaky amalgam fillings or mercury from environmental pollution. But plenty of kids have developed autism after getting non-thimerosol vaccines. In these cases, aluminum, formaldeyde and the viruses and bacteria in the vaccines do the damage. Vaccines can be dangerous in themselves, with or without the addition of heavy metals. In other cases viruses, lead pollution or chemicals from industry or home renovation have been implicated. I think in most cases, autism has multiple causes, although there can be one leading culprit. In our son's case, he had just one vaccine that contained mercury, and that wasn't the vaccine that made him autistic. Removing mercury from vaccines in Australia hasn't had any noticeable effect on autism rates. (But this removal was done at roughly the same time that extra shots were added to the pediatric vaccination schedule, so Big Pharma and its political stooges [ie our Members of Parliament] have successfully muddied the waters here.) However, I think mercury is still a factor in our son's autism. Even one thimerosol vaccine is too much for kids with low metallothionein, and my wife ate a lot of tuna during her 2nd trimester. What seems like moderate levels of mercury can be dangerous if other toxins are also present. Metals and viruses tend to interact with each other, creating ugly and dangerous synergies. Getting mercury out of your kids' bodies will help them fight viruses, and it will also reduce the toxicity of lead, aluminum and other heavy metals. The beauty of DMSA is that removes metals more than just mercury. the beauty of ALA is that is boosts the immune system, recycles glutathione and fights viruses. The beauty of taking both these chelators together is that they reduce each others' side effects. Steve
