Hi ,

I'm Jo and I was indeed the person who wrote about the possibility of

fusion or amputation of my left leg. I'm sorry that I haven't

responded sooner, but I haven't been on my PC the past few days due

to some other issues.

I am completely blown away by your incredible thought and kindness in

mentioning my situation and passing on so much information - I can't

begin to thank you for that. Wow, I am really struggling to get my

head around this! I am so glad that you have been able to save your

leg through this procedure , it sounds like your knee was in a

real state before this surgery. There are obviously a lot of

differences in our personal situations, but reading through your

story I see so many parallels too - even down to being told if your

were a horse you'd be shot! My OS and I still joke about that now.

Since that original post about the fusion/amputation I have been told

the problems I have are in fact bilateral, which of course rules out

fusion surgery. So I would be incredibly interested in talking to you

more about Dr Masri and the whole procedure, as this may just lead to

some hope for me. Even if it is a case of stabilising one leg enough

to allow a fusion/amputation of the other. I am completely gob-

smacked that he is so willing to discuss the procedure and interested

in my situation, I'm sorry if I am rambling right now but I simply

can't describe how I feel inside!

Thank you so much , I will drop you a line offlist to talk in

more detail about things and give you more info about my situation

and position in the UK etc. I really can't begin to show my gratitude

at what you have done.

Take care....Jo
