Yes, it's used to keep you awake. Only the brain though. It doesn't act as

a physical stimulant. I used to feel like someone was turning a light off

(but it was my brain going offline) in the afternoon when I would crash.

The doc gave it to me to take as needed. It really helps and doesn't keep

you awake. When you lay down and relax, you can go to sleep easy on it.
