Guest guest
Every once in a while I see posts asking if anyone has seen any real progress with chelation so I thought I would send in a short report. We will be finishing our 5th round in a few hours and we have already seen a lot of good things. 1. My son's eyes are so much clearer and he is making eye contact with us like never before. 2. He seems to be " checking out " everything like it's the first time he has seen or heard it. Like a fog is being lifted. 3. We still have lots of echolalia but he is using a bunch of new words! He is also asking for things instead of getting angry because I can't read his mind. 4. He is tantruming a lot less and seems more calm. 5. Preforming lots of new tasks. Example- Taking off his seatbelt and getting out of the car by himself instead of waiting for me to take him out. The only problems that I have seen are extra stimming and fits of laughter on the first day of chelation and some tantruming on the day after finishing chelation. We still have a very long way to go but I'm very excited by the progress he has made in such a short period of time. I waited over a year to start this because of fear. I wish I hadn't wasted all that time. We are thinking about adding in the ALA on the next round. Thanks to everyone for all the great information and support! Guest guest
Jeanna, I'm using andy's protocol. Dmsa every three hours for three days on (24 doses) and four days off. My son weighs between 55 and 60 pounds and we are using 25mg of dmsa. I buy the dmsa at vrp and split the 100mg capsule into four doses. We also take lots of supplements everyday. (Vitamins, Minerals, Anti-oxidants, probiotics, etc.)I don't have a doctor who will help me so we are going it alone. I tried to get help for months. I did everything I could to educate my doctor. I now believe NOT chelating is much scarier than chelating and I wish that I hadn't waited so long. As far as monitoring his progress, I just go by what I see. Hope this helps some! Read as much as you can on this list! Good Luck! > Every once in a while I see posts asking if anyone has seen any real > progress with chelation so I thought I would send in a short report. > We will be finishing our 5th round in a few hours and we have already > seen a lot of good things. > > 1. Guest guest
I am chelating on my own also. For us, the benefits far outweigh the risks (we are taking it low and slow - 3 days on 11 days every 3 hours and 25 mg of each).
