Guest guest
Hey Charity, I'm glad you are getting better. I tore the collateral ligament in my knee and was afraid I might have to have surgery. Thankfully with PT it's getting better. We will be there for the symposium. I'm so glad you waited until the symposium to present the quilt. We went last year. The biggest question for the docs was compliance with the brace. I think that is why many of them have not used the Ponseti method until now because they think it is just not possible to have compliance. I think that seeing all the parents and children there really helped. Alaya loved being a " model " . I can't wait to meet you. Alaya is turning 3 next month. She has just started giving us a hard time about the brace occasionally, but most of the time she is fine with it. I think maybe older children have learned to negotiate about other things so they think it may apply to the brace. We have a NO NEGOTIATION rule when it comes to that so I think she is giving up trying. My view is that I want to keep her in it as long as possible rather than taking it away and having to start again. Right now she doesnt' know any different. I am a little concerned because her feet are still turned out quite a bit and she trips when she walks so I'm wondering if Dr. P. might take her out in November. The local ortho says she has some tibial torsion (rotation of the bones) possibly from the brace. Joanne
