Guest guest
According to the Food Companion it is 1 1/2 cups whole or sliced (it doesn't say how). Personally I weigh them on a digital scale. According to the frozen package it is 140 grams per serving. Maureen Strawberry facts, please ... Hi everyone. I haven't introduced myself (I'm Sandy), and, honestly, I don't want to start out talking too much, because that always seems to jinx me. I brag about how I'm going to do so great, crash and burn in the next few days or weeks, then slink off in shame and embarrassment. So, I figure that THIS time I will ask my questions when necessary, hold my brags and self-aggrandizement, so that when I feel myself skidding wildly out of control I won't be ashamed to call out for help. That said, could someone please tell me the proper way to measure strawberries? I usually stem them, cut them in halves or quarters, drop them in a measuring cup until I have 1-1/2 cups, and then munch away. This sure feels like a lot of strawberries! Ah, I wish they would just tell me how much they should weigh. Anyway, am I doing this wrong? Thanks for your help and your understanding, Sandy
Guest guest
I can't really answer your question - but I just want to address your statement - I've done that a lot, and I'm sure others have too. I think the key to success is facing the mistakes, admit them and let people help you through it instead of getting ashamed and leaving. That's one of my goals this time (: Candace _____ From: SVosLists@... Sent: Thursday, July 08, 2004 6:30 PM To: Serious-Weight-Watchers Subject: Strawberry facts, please ... Hi everyone. Guest guest
Thanks, Candace. It is good to know I'm not the only one. Because I live in the sticks and my crazy schedule I'm doing WW at Home, so this is pretty much my meeting. I REALLY want to get rid of all of this weight I'm carrying around .... Maybe we should make a pact. Nobody moves (leaves) without FIRST saying they feel like it .... I heard something profound today ... The price of growth is struggle. Guest guest
Yes, they are! Me and my 5 year old guy love them. Hubby, on the other hand, could care less. Leaves that many more for us, I say! That's exactly how I measure them! And I'm losing quite well, so I don't intend to change my ways! Aren't they positively scrumptious? Guest guest
I just scoop them up and eat them. Strawberries are VERY low in calories. I add splenda and eat them with yogurt and fiber one, or for dessert over Dreyer's Grand Light Strawberry Ice Cream, or a Strawberry Shortcake Skinny Cow. Guest guest
That would be great - if people would stick to it. I won't leave this group without saying something about it first (: Candace _____ From: Sandy Vos Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 9:18 PM To: Serious-Weight-Watchers Subject: RE: Strawberry facts, please ...
