Hi ,

Congrats on getting in touch with Dr. Ponseti If he refers you

to Baltimore I am sure it will be Dr. Herzenberg. That is who

is seeing now (since 7/9/04). I have been impressed so

far. We see him again on Monday for 's third cast. Where do

you live?

Hey Marilouise,

We live in North Jersey. I think Baltimore would be about a 3 hour drive

from here. Yes, I the named he mentioned was Dr. Herzenberg. I have no

problem driving there. I would even go to Iowa if I had to.

I just thought I would let you know that I love the name . How is

she doing?

Hi ,

Sinai Hospital is almost 2 1/2 hours for me and I live in

land!! My in-laws live about 1/2 way so I have been dropping

off my older two to visit them during appointments and then we spend

that night and drive home the next day. I agree that I would find a

way to Iowa now if need be. I feel confident that is in

very competent hands with Dr. H

Thank you for the compliment on her name!! She is doing very well

from what I can tell. I don't know how much of her history you've

read on the boards (not that there is that much - LOL) but she is

10.5 months and we just started seeing Dr. H after a few moms

here " confirmed " my fears that her foot didn't look fully

corrected. So we are now back in casts but she has not been

bothered by them. We do not know a definitive timeline for the rest

of her treatment but I do know she will need a second tenotomy and

then back to the DBB but I don't know hours/day yet.

How old is Christian? I know I've read his DOB somewhere but I

can't remember.

Your situation is almost exactly like mine! Christian will be 6 months old

on the 30th. We have been taking him to this doctor close to my house. He

came highly recommended and claims to use the Ponseti method but from what I

have heard and read he has severely modified it. His foot doesn't look

right to me. My husband thinks its fine but I know there is something that

isn't right. I would have to say I don't feel it is going to be fully

corrected either if I stay with this doctor.

I am so glad to hear that you go to him and you are confident in his

abilities.
