Guest guest
Kim, I'm sorry to hear this, you're right you don't need this right now, but you do need to slow down. Please take a little time to rest up now! I will say a prayer for you to heal quickly. Take Care, God Bless, Marla ulcerated corneas from kim Well I have somehow managed to get an ulcerated cornea in what seems like minutes. One minute my eye seemed fine, the next minute my eye was tearing terribly and in horrid pain. This morning I went to the eye Dr and was told the cornea was ulcerated. I was so surprised, I figured I had rubbed it and done something. It has been a long time since I have had this probelm and I had forgotten how painful it was. This is terrible. I am putting drops every hour and will see the Dr again in the morning. Wish me luck that it clears up quickly. I really didnt need this trouble right now. Everyone is very quiet today, I hope you all are well and just enjoying some extra rest or even a day out and about. I have been meaning to welcome Lawonda. Welcome Lawonda, you joined while I was away for a few days. I will introduce myself better when I my eye settles down. I am sorry that you are suffering with this illness, but glad that you have found the group. I am still trying ot catch up on emails and have just tried to answer the ones that could be answered quickly, I have several marked to answer still. I am making my way through them. Take care everyone and please check in we havent heard from several of you in quite sometime, LYNNE, how are you doing? Guest guest
Kim, I have suffered many corneal ulcers, mostly from hard contacts years ago, but also a couple of traumatic events (Christmas tree fell on my eye & hit in the eye by a ball). The most important thing for me was always to bind BOTH of my eyes tightly. I put a folded gauze square over the injured eye, then wrap gauze or a bandana tightly around my head, keeping both eyes tightly closed. If I just try to wrap the bad eye, as the other eye blinks & moves, so does the bad one. Just binding them relieves the pain, which is excruciating. I've tried to avoid it, because I had too much to do & couldn't be blindfolded, but I always break down & do it. Even overnight can make a huge difference. The year the tree fell in my eye I had been crocheting an afghan for my brother & his wife for Christmas. It was made of 120 six-sided granny "squares" all sewn together. I finished the thing blindfolded. Luckily granny squares are crocheted in big spaces, so I would just have my mom give me the right color yarn & off I went! I had crocheted for years, so it really came out fine. I did have to finished putting it together in a dark room with sunglasses on. Anyway, Kim, if you haven't tried binding your eyes, do it for just one night. 8-10 hours of no blinking or moving your eye may really help it heal. I am deeply saddened, to say the least ... you certainly don't need something like this NOW with all else that is going on!!! ... call me if you need/want to ...
