Guest guest
, I've been rather late catching up on emails lately but have noticed that you seem very very down right now - and then read your birth story. What a horrid experience - not just horrid but frightening. I think that to come through all that and still be able to smile EVER just shows what an incredibly strong person you are. I had a very easy pregnancy and still nearly cracked up in the middle of it (went on to a 4 day week for a bit). I don't beat myself up about my susceptibility to stress and depression (mild compared to yours, but still there and I understand a bit) - I accept that it is limiting for me, it stops me doing some things, but I'd rather achieve less and maintain my sanity (this only achieved in the face of some big personal upheavals that kind of reprioritised things for me). From what we see here and what I saw at Cerys's last autumn, you are a perceptive and sparky woman who is a devoted and very successful mother. Please don't lose sight of that - you're still doing a great job with Josh (forgive me if you call him , I seem to remember that you're a " Josh " mummy but I may be wrong!) and that's one of the most important things. And (I'm fairly certain) PND DOESN'T last for ever. Nothing does - eventually it will be something that you can look back and say " It was tough, but I got through it " about. Lots of hugs (Tim says " cuddle " now! Ahhh!) from all at home-of-the-bears, Anneliese (part-time) SAHM to Baby Tim (18/9/99), member, Alton, Bordon and district branch
