Awwwww, balony, anyone who has EDS can tolerate a tattoo. We probably don't

even feel the pain. LOL!!!!

Hey guys!!

A friend turned me on to this pain killer stuff...

Wining that I might be too much of a chicken too, she wrote:

it's called Emla cream and it works 100% of the time. It completely numbs the

hour prior to the procedure, then wipe it off. We use it in hospitals on

children when they are going to get IV's. Here is the product:

So you apply the cream and cover it with a special bandage or you buy the

disk (like a patch) and apply it wherever you want your tattoo. Then when you

have it, voila, no pain. ~~

Debbi here again...

Sounds good don't you think??

Hey, hey, hey... I think we are getting closer to a done deal..

I say we schedule a real block of time with Sue's guy and GO FOR IT!

I think I might do that too. Perhaps I should stay thru Monday since I poop

out so quickly. If we go on Sunday, by the time we are done ... my flight will

get in at 3:00 am! Something to think about!

>Hi Debbi,

Emla cream has been used here as long as I can remember. It is a

local anestetic cream, it numbs your skin. You put it on the skin and

covers it with a plastic bandaid about an hour before e.g. you get an

IV, have blood work done etc. You can use any bandaid as long as it

is air tight and will force the cream into the skin. You could use a

piece of plastic also, I think, if you cover it properly with a

bandaid tape. They mainly use it for kids who have to have needles.

Not a bad idea to use it for a tattoo, if you are worried about the

pain it causes. But I don't think I would bother, because it is just

not that painful...

PS! We really have to mind !!! She is trying to bribe the tattoo

guy to get him to go out of town for our week in Buffalo!!!! Yes, I

am positive she is trying to do that!!!! :) LOL

Hi,

It is really a song, the EDNF song. And they have a logo thing with

" Together we will find a brighter day! " embroidered on T-shirts and

such... I don't know about a picture of it though...

>OK, Sue, count me in! :) I CAN'T WAIT!! Have I said that before?:)

Lana,

Have any of us said that before??????? :) OOOOOOOH, it is sooooo long

until then.... I applied for a vacation then, but my boss can't

promise me until April 1st. I will work on him though, I am going no

matter what he thinks. A worst case scenario would be that I had to

go a couple of weeks before the conference instead, and take that

part of the trip first, then go back home after the conference. It

may be a problem for Hildegunn though, and we are travelling

together. She is going to Montenegro for treatment before the

conference, but I think that they won't make that trip that late in

the summer. She hasn't had the dates yet though.

Yes, I think it would be. I'm thinking about around the place where

I wear my watch, and then I could see it all the time, because I'm

always checking my watch! :) And for those who are against them, I

could wear a bracelet to cover it or my long sleaves. :) Aase, you

are an influence.....is it good???? LOL!!!

Aase, any boss that wouldn't let someone off for a conference like

this would have to be put on my naughty person's list! I sure hope

you get to have the time off! Good luck! No matter what, I'll see

you there!

never forget it!!! I think I was the least one they had expected

would go and do such a thing...

Absolutely!!!! I learned at the first conference that it is not a

good idea to be in a hurry... We are so pooped by the time the

conference is over... It is great being able to sleep in the day

after, and take it easy... I am planning to find a flight out of

there early in the afternoon on the 19th, so it'll be a nice and easy

day...
