Guest guest
>Hi Debbi, Emla cream has been used here as long as I can remember. It is a local anestetic cream, it numbs your skin. You put it on the skin and covers it with a plastic bandaid about an hour before e.g. you get an IV, have blood work done etc. You can use any bandaid as long as it is air tight and will force the cream into the skin. You could use a piece of plastic also, I think, if you cover it properly with a bandaid tape. They mainly use it for kids who have to have needles. Not a bad idea to use it for a tattoo, if you are worried about the pain it causes. But I don't think I would bother, because it is just not that painful... PS! We really have to mind !!! She is trying to bribe the tattoo guy to get him to go out of town for our week in Buffalo!!!! Yes, I am positive she is trying to do that!!!! LOL Aase Marit >Hey guys!! >A friend turned me on to this pain killer stuff... >Wining that I might be too much of a chicken too, she wrote: > > ~~ There is something you can use to make it totally pain-free and some >tattoo places actually sell it, but you can buy it yourself at any drugstore - >it's called Emla cream and it works 100% of the time. Guest guest
>OK, Sue, count me in! I CAN'T WAIT!! Have I said that before? Lana, Have any of us said that before??????? OOOOOOOH, it is sooooo long until then.... I applied for a vacation then, but my boss can't promise me until April 1st. I will work on him though, I am going no matter what he thinks. A worst case scenario would be that I had to go a couple of weeks before the conference instead, and take that part of the trip first, then go back home after the conference. It may be a problem for Hildegunn though, and we are travelling together. She is going to Montenegro for treatment before the conference, but I think that they won't make that trip that late in the summer. She hasn't had the dates yet though. I learned at the first conference that it is not a good idea to be in a hurry... We are so pooped by the time the conference is over... It is great being able to sleep in the day after, and take it easy... I am planning to find a flight out of there early in the afternoon on the 19th, so it'll be a nice and easy day...
