Hi ,

In the " files " section (left of screen) you'll find a file showing

pictures of Brace Coverings that Castlady makes. I've heard of

people using the pad that goes on BMX bikes (sold in stores such as

KMart, Meijer, Target, etc) - we simply used one seatbelt cover from

Toys R Us. They come in all different types decorative, or plain.

They velcro and are easily washed. After the bar needed to be

wider, we now use two seatbelt covers (you know, the kind that

protect the babies neck from irritation?) they overlap so they

provide more padding. We used them more for decorative purposes,

but they do provide some protection against those wacks to the knee!!

,

We use pipe foam (any hardware store) and tape it with athletic tape. I

tape it all over now. Makes the foam last longer. I can make a piece of

foam last for about 5 months this way. I don't worry about pretty covers,

black athletic tape is good enough for us. But if you want it pretty, get

some material you like and (after it's taped so it doesn't open back up -

the pipe foam is slit on one side) and hot glue it to the pipe foam.
