Hi Sharon,

I had this same experience when I was pregnant with my son.

I went from a B cup to a D cup BEFORE my milk came in when he was 3 days

old. After it came it I could have showed Dolly Parton a thing or two.

They have never gone below a D since but I'm hopeful I will make it back

into a C cup at least after my lift. The white substance can be looked at

as a good sign...your body is already getting ready for the milk. Good

luck!

Nipple Question

Hi!

Okay, this is kinda gross, but at 13 weeks pregnant (first pregnancy, so

bear with me!) I have discovered that I am getting a white, kind of

waxy/scummy stuff that collects around the base of my nipple. It doesn't

smell... it is just disgusting and makes me feel weird to see it! I have

to practically peel it off, it doesn't come off in the shower!! LOL! I

wear a bra 24/7 (If I don't my boobs just hurt that much worse) and tried

going without one, but the pain was horrible, and the stuff collected

anyway. I have really large breasts as it is, and the pregnancy has made

them go up two cup sizes already!

What is this stuff?? Is it normal stuff?? LOL! I feel kinda silly

asking, but... if anyone will know it will be you all!! LOL!

Too, how much bigger do your breasts get when the milk actually comes in??

I'm planning on breast feeding... but if these puppies get too much bigger

I may topple over!! lol! :~)

Thanks in advance!

My hubby says they look like large canteloupes already... and wants to

touch them so bad! ROFL!!! He gets smacked because they hurt too bad! LOL

Does the pain ever go away???

Before WLS, my largest size was a double H (yeah, they go all the way up

to double O !!) I shrank to a B/C cup and have gone back up to an F cup

already. (I went from a 56 to a 36 and am still that 36 around)I feel so

TOP heavy! LOL!! I almost look like I've had plastic surgery! LOL!! Do

they get much bigger before the milk comes in?? Gads, I hope not! Being

only 13 weeks and with them THIS huge... lol... I was complaining to my

mom about it and she told me she made Dolly's look small when her milk

came in! LOL!! She had gone to an O cup with me... and that was tight! Do

they MAKE nursing bras that big??? Poor kid... can they even EAT off that

big a breast?? !!

One of my friends told me to buy nursing bras in my regular 36c size and

the cup would be big enough... HA HA HA -- she had to double check my bra

sizes cuz she didn't believe me when I told her there was no way they fit

when I went to try them on!!! The stores I went to around here don't go up

to an G, H, J, K or O cup -- the only place I found was in Tulsa,

Oklahoma!! Does anyone know of a bra place that goes that big??

So... white goo is normal? whew! :~) Thanks!! lol!

I remember sitting there nursing my newborn son and realizing that my breast

was larger than he was. Eww!! I recently had breast reduction surgery... lol

Anyway, the size of your breast really won't have much bearing on whether

the kid can nurse off it. The main thing that can present a problem is when

you're engorged so tight that there's nothing to latch onto... like trying

to suck a watermelon. LOL You can usually pump a little to get it loosened

up. But that can happen to someone who's a size A as easy as someone who's

an O.

Kris,

My husband adn I just laughed and laughed at your watermelon anaolgy!!

That was such a vivd image!! :~) Thanks for the morning giggles! :~)

AND, thanks for the info about how to lessen engorgement... I didn't

realize that could happen, and with my luck, it would happen to me and

seeds would start spitting out on their own before I figured out what to

do! LOL! :~)

My husband is walking around, pursing his lips and going, " Ohhhh cup! "

What little boys they are some times! LOL!!

Thanks again!

Yes, they do make nursing bras that big! In fact, I have been

wearing my nursing bras all the time, even in between my babies,

because they are the only bras I have been able to find that fit my

36 J's! I order mine from www.Breakoutbras.com , the brand is Fancee

Free. I wish there was some place I could buy bras " in person " , but

mail order is the only way I have ever found any in my size. I just

have to order them in more than one size, and return the ones that

don't fit. I have found that by mid-pregnancy, my breasts are about

as big as they are going to get. (Well, except during the first

couple weeks after the baby is born. Then they may balloon up with

milk a little while. The cups are adjustable, so I can move them

down to the last hook during that time. Once my milk supply has

adjusted to the baby's eating pattern, I can move the hooks back up

and wear them comfortably again.) Everyone is different though.

Some people barely grow at all, and some people add a couple cup

sizes after baby comes.

Oh, and I have taken to wearing a stretchy sports bra to bed during

this pregnancy too. So you are not the only one in a bra 24/7. As

heavy as they are, it is just too sore to let them hang. I know this

soreness is a pregnancy thing, and once I get past the newborn

engorgement, I will go back to being bra-less at night. It is much

easier access for night nursing without a bra in the way!

Tell me about it! Goofballs. I finally convinced mine that I *had* to have a

breast reduction by actually calling to his attention the enormous ruts in

my shoulders... he could feel bone down inside them and it shocked him, I

think. lol I think he's happy with the new ones, though... less like

watermelons but much perkier.

Another way I found to lessen engorgement is to take a hot shower right

before you nurse... trust me, you'll probably be spraying in competition

with the showerhead.

ROFL... spraying in competition?? I wondered about that... ! LOL!! That

will be something I try, for sure! LOL!!

My mom had a breast reduction a few years ago... she too had deep ruts in

her shoulders. I remember sitting at the kitchen table with her and my dad

(I sometimes forget that he is so old fashioned and really sensitive to

" girl talk " ) a few weeks after her surgery. She commented that her

shoulders didn't hurt near as bad anymore, but that the scars were just

horrible. I wanted to cheer her up and without thinking, I said, " Well, at

least they are perky again!! " My dad about exploded with laughter and my

mom was horrified that I had said that in front of my dad!! Dad got up and

left really fast (I didn't realize until later that he was laughing), and

my mom and sister just stared at me. I just grinned and said, " well?? " My

sister changed the subject really fast...! LOL!! My dad later told my

husband that when I said that, he almost didn't make it out of the room...

my dad may not talk about " sex stuff " in front of women, but he has a

sense of humor I didn't know he had before then! LOL!!

I grew up in a very old-fashioned family when it came to talking about

biological functions and the human body... It was ROUGH... my mom can't

figure out where I got my ribald sense of humor, but I know now!!! LOL!!

Sorry... got WAY off subject! LOL!

Thanks again!
