Hi,

All this " gait talk " reminded me about a funny experience I had in

NYC after the Winston-Salem conference. I was out shopping and came

outside one of the shoe stores, I think it was the athlete's foot. On

the sidewalk was a lady with a computer. They had a campaign where

they computer analyzed people's feet so they could tell them which

shoes they should go for and also they would recommend insoles. So I

got out of my chair and on to that thingie. The woman's cheek dropped

while she was looking at the screen. She looked at me and sort of

measured me up and down and said " I am glad you have that thing

(nodding her head against my wheelchair). I don't think we have any

shoes that can help you...This is not good at all... " It was so

comic... You should have seen her face... She proceeded to give me a

print-out of the screen to take home... LOL

Aase Marit :)
