Guest guest
lol, Darbi doesn't do this in her sleep (she folds on her side and they're close to her head but doesn't lift her legs over her head) but apparently it's not that uncommon. Why not pad the bar with pipe foam just in case? I don't know how y'all do it without the pipe foam - I can't stand just the metal bar. I tape it on with athletic tape, tape the bottom and the edges of the bar (where she stands and leans on the thin edge and it cuts the foam) and where the nuts are on the ends so it doesn't wear through very fast. Guest guest
Hi, we are gong through the same thing. Yesterday I bought foam " carpet " for the bath- the one you can buy by the meters. It looks like strips of foam and it can be bought in hardware stores. I cut it and glued it to the bar. It works pretty good- no more marks on the forehead. I wrapped it with the padding for the car sit belt- for babies so I can wash it and not replace the foam. We also cover Oshri with a big (light) blanket so even if he rools over to the side his legs and shoes are always covers. Hope it helps. (I found it difficult to explain those things in English. Please write me if you don't understand). Idit, mom to Oshri, 8 month. BL ClubFoot, heavy DBB for 16 hours, 3 teeth. http://truly_clubfoot.tripod.com - website in Hebrew. Guest guest
Hi, My daughter Rose did the same thing! She never actually bonked herself in the head, but that bar would be within an inch of her head and she would be sound asleep. At least for us, that phase passed, I think about the time she started really crusing the furniture. Guest guest
DD has hit herself in the head twice with the bar. Now at almost a year she has not done it. I tried the foam with tape over and she ate it. I think it was here once that I heard someone using a bike handle pad to cover the bar since there is a cover on it. > Has anyone ever had their child hit their head with their shoes or > the DBB while they slept.
