Guest guest
Ohh, NO !!! Don't pay any attention to that last post.....I wrote an e-mail and was so tired I forgot to put where I wanted it to go......Hahahah! Sorry you guys:) Hello all!! wanted to update on what has been going on since I got Dr. Ponseti's response. I did contact my son's Dr. (via e-mail) and gave him the e-mail I received along with the story I wrote. He is so nice:) And I was so worried!!! So...he read the e-mail and also explained what those brace things Kris was fitted for. There (AFO) ankle-foot orthosis w/ rubber sole so he can walk in them,,,(?) I do not think we are going to be needing them now, because tomorrow Kris will be getting cast's back on... And he has been in touch with Dr. P. about my son. He cc's all our e-mails to him too:) He said he is in contact w/ Dr. P. as often as he can, and has no problem with my contacting him:) Also, he said there must have been a break down somewhere, because he talked to the Dr. that was in looking at Kris when we went to Shriners that day, and told him re-casting was something that he thought was needed (?) I will never know, but I do know that if he was looking at Kris....the cast's would be on already. I'm so relieved, but I don't think things are going to sit well with Kris!! Has anyone had to recast at around 22mo or so? Any advise on what I am up against would really help me to be on top of this:) He is getting his first observation for Autism and Development this coming Wed. I told them that he would not be himself due to the casting, but she said it would be ok, and that seeing how he handles this is good too:) ( I'm going to need some elephant tranquilizers ...heheh) Will keep everyone posted:) thank you, Carole & baby Kris Born 6-11-02 Bilateral Clubfoot re-casting 5/7/04 Ps. The best part to all this is it's our 4th wedding Anniv. ...May 7th! The very day Kris is getting his first set of re-casting:)
