Guest guest
Heidi, Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. From reading your subsequent posts, it sounds like you've decided to travel to California to have your daughter treated, is this right? If so, I would recommend leaving her leg uncasted while you're in Egypt. An improperly applied cast can end up causing more harm than good. If your daughter's cast is slipping, I would guess that your doctor is not applying the casts properly. The knee should be bent so the cast doesn't slip. Although it is not unheard of that a doctor using the Ponseti method will have a cast slip, it is pretty rare. There are lots of websites that show what the casts should look like. Did the Egyptian doctor tell you that he was using the Ponseti method? I hope you'll keep us posted on what you decide to do.
