Guest guest
I got my second set of labs from the doc. It seems that I still didn't get the Frees. My TSH is in the hyper range, yet my T3 and T4 have barely budged. The first set was on 100mcg Eltroxin, and the second set was on 100mcg Eltroxin plus 1/2 grain Armour. Does that mean that I'm just wasting my time with the combination since my T's have barely changed. The T4 is a little lower and the T3 just a little higher. There is no way that I'm feeling hyper, in fact, I feel pretty much as tired and spacy as when I went to him in the first place and I drag myself around all day. Is my PM cortisol still low? Any suggestions? I bought some licorice root, but haven't taken any yet. Does anyone have experience with it? Thanks for whatever input you can provide. Should I try to increase the Armour to 1 grain per day along with the 100mcg Levo?... Judy Labs on 100mcg Levo... Guest guest
Thanks Nick. I will do that. I have already familiarized myself with your site since I suspected that RT3 was my problem. I will double check with you on dosing once I order the T3 meds. How soon might I expect to see some progress? Guest guest
Just want to double check on dosing before I start next week. I am currently on 5 grains of Thyroid-S so I think I will be taking 50mcg of Cynomel (which looks to be 2 tablets per day) but I know that I have to spread that dosing out throughout the day. Should I cut each tablet in half, making four halves, and try 12.5mcg at 5 a.m., 9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. (maybe adding another half closer to bedtime?) How much will I increase after a week? Guest guest
Your dosing seems like a good plan. You need to chart your average daily temperatures. When your temps are stable within .2 degrees for three or four days, you can increase cynomel. Usually by 6.25 mcgs each increase. You can add a lights out dose, but take it just before you drop off.Ann Sent from my iPad Just want to double check on dosing before I start next week. How much will I increase after a week? Seems a plan, after a week you can go up by 12.5 if you are not getting any symptoms of " too much " From a starting point of 5 grains you may get a bump a week or do along the journey as your T4 levels decay because they may convert better at a lower circulating level than the 5 grains gave you. Check pulse each time you are due a dose for a while and you'll get a feel for it I presume you've read the dosing page on the web site?? Guest guest
Hi Nick... thanks for your reply. Yes, I have read the whole site I think. I started the Cynomel today and checked my pulse and it stayed right around where it usually does and I didn't have any symptoms of too little or too much that I could tell. I ordered the Mexican Cynomel but it seems to take a while to do sublingually. Now that I go back and re-read, I see that it's the Grossman Cynomel that is easy to do sublingually. Oops. I know on your site it says it's ok to take it with food, but should that just be worse-case scenario? Are there certain foods that are not as good to eat around the same time as the Cynomel?
