Guest guest
What do you take for adrenal support? Do you have over-active or under-active adrenals? Guest guest
In recently traveling by air...boy did my right ear ache! Tender, that little lump. The chiropractor managed to get the tenderness in check. When I was pregnant with my first son (about 4 years ago) the same side (ear) felt like a knife was sticking in it, while flying in a small plane. Oh lord, I sat in back nearly in tears. Thank goodness, we landed shortly thereafter. Usually, my ears don't bother me while flying. Yes, I also have a lymph node that swells and reduces in size too. Again, the right side. I can only think that I have an allergy to an indoor culprit because now, I have it constantly and this is where I spend most my time (indoors). Lately, I've been taking a combo Acet/Chlorphenarimine/and phenylsomethingrather. Don't know that I have the spelling right on the second and know I don't have the third one right. lol I've been pretty consistent with it and have found some relief. In between, I take the Chlorphenarimine which seems to work best for me in regards to an antihistamine. Thanks for the word on Naproxen. I'll give it a whirl. ~Kate That's the same thing with me. My ENT isn't very concerned with it, but darn if it's not annoying LOL. I went to a different elevation when I was getting over an ear ache and for a few months I had severely reduced hearing in my right ear (same side as goiter) and it took forever for it to come back. I have had a swollen lymph node (on the right side) ever since then which was last summer. Although I do notice on days I don't have allergic reactions, the swelling goes down and my ear drains more. *shrug* Maybe I should have allegra permanently dripping in an IV lol. You can also try aleve (naproxen sodium) if you can take it. It is a great anti-inflamatory! /med
Guest guest
Amazing isn't it? Those little ears of ours can cause so many problems! Maybe I should see a chiropractor... hmm.. Guest guest
The chlorphenaramine and all the OTC antihistamines put me dead asleep, no matter what. That is going to be the decongestant phenylephrine in there, as the 3rd component, and I hate that stuff, since they replaced pseudoephedrine with that junk. It makes me nervous, makes my heart beat too fast and palpitate, but this is what those idiots decided to replace the pseudo with, just because they don't want to spend time bridling the drug dealers (aaaaaa!). Phenylephrine was already KNOWN to be dangerous for the heart, lightyrs ago, and there was a big deal about it around 20 or so yrs ago, but they all think we are totally stupid. The industry is too lazy to monitor the buying of hundreds of packages by drug dealers for making methamphetamine, so we are being punished for it. Sometimes, when I have to, I split the so called " new " decongestant in half, as that is how badly it affects me, only when the back of my nasal passages and ears are so swollen that nothing else will make the pain go away in there (shrinks membranes by shrinking small blood vessels by removing some fluid). I could go to the pharmacy counter anywhere and purchase one package of the pseudo, but, if I do, I'm afraid I'm going to say something really bad. WE have been made to feel like criminals, on acct of this, as though WE did something wrong, and I very highly resent it, as our rights for OTC products are being very violated with these new rules. It is not legal to put an OTC behind the pharmacy counter, hands down. Pseudo has side effects when taken in too great amts, but it doesn't even compare to the cardiac repercussions of phenylephrine taken in even small amts, and I stand by that. Guest guest
In Australia you can no longer get anything with pseudoephedrine in it unless you have a doctor's script.......................Meleese in Oz xxx -------Original Message------- From: Kate As for placing the Pseudo behind the counter, I have mixed feelings about. Ultimately, I think this: they'll find something new to do their Meth making with. Something easily accessible. I don't know. No, I for one DO NOT like feeling like a criminal. This goes for being a customer on our airlines, as well. Last time I flew, I couldn't take any liquids: personal products as well as nasal spray. Not to mention, too, I like firearms as well. If some people think of firearms as being extremely frightening and think terrorists (or some other criminal) like/use them, that they should be banned...does that mean that I (or any law abiding citizen) should be penalized for their actions? No. Anyway, I digress. Part of the solution is, in my opinion, is getting very tough with criminals. I think that's a problem. Maybe if we did so, we'd find a reduction in crime...and be able to buy our Pseudo over the counter. lol ~Kate
