Guest guest
I would like to thank everyone for their encouraging replies. I did e-mail Dr. Dobbs with the details. He replied and thanked me for letting him know so he could improve the situation. I just felt bad complaining since it was Shriner's, but I didn't want other families to doubt the need of the brace based on the orthotist's vistit. Thanks for all your encouragement. It was weighing heavily on my mind, but it really helped to let him know. I'm also a RN so I guess maybe working in healthcare it aggravated me a little more. As a nurse I wouldn't say anything to a patient that would make them doubt their Dr. or their care. We also had to have our dog of 13 years put to sleep that morning before we left for St. Louis. So it was already a bad day. I feel better about the brace shop issue, but getting through the dog issue is horrible. has really had a hard time with it today. He has said 20 times today, " I miss Andy. " And when he says it he sounds so pitiful. And I'm trying not to cry in front of him anyway. Ugh........I need to go and get a kleenex.
