He casted my son a while before the ATTT also, just to acheive as much

correction that way as possible to help the ATTT be more successful. Yes, a

wagon or a baby-size wheel chair is handy.

Older children in casts.....

How do the normally do? I talked to Dr. Ponseti and he wants to

try 2 sets of casts on before they decide about the ATTT.

She is a *very* active 2 1/2 year old. Is there anything that I

should be ready for? I am going to get a stroller or a wagon for

her once we get to Iowa, it was too bad i JUST sold my stroller 3

weeks ago!!!

Thanks! :)

Form what we have heard more recently this is the basic idea, BUT Dr Ponseti has

been successful at least once in completely avoiding the ATTT with this casting.

The last time Kai had casts he was walking, but he only had knee casts so it was

a bit easier. Still, he had to re-learn how to walk in the cast and he was very

upset and frustrated for the first 2 days. It will probably be a bit easier for

you guys because she is old enough to have it explained to her.

Good luck!

Hi, Collin will be 3 next month and has been in casts recently.

Trust me they get around, he shocks us. I bought him a view finder

and some slides from monsters, inc, toy story, etc and that was

something that he could easily have fun with while sitting. We also

did a lot of play dough activities. He watched more tv then usual

while in casts, but it gave me a chance to introduce him to those

disney movies I hadn't seen in years. His all time favorite is

still monsters inc and toy story. While shopping I just put him in

the back of the cart, because of the casts I had a hard time getting

him in/out of the front. Good luck, I hope it goes by quick, the

hardest part we had was he loves water, so he was disappointed about

no bath, swimming, etc.

Hi Michele! Thank you so much for your reply! :)

I have a feeling it is going to be alot of coloring/art activities

for us!! LOL The hardest thing is going to be no water, especially

with her older brother getting to go swimming and having baths.

It was great looking at your website! Collin is a real cutie!!!! :)
