Guest guest
Welcome Juli, I was diagnosed with Stage II in 1990. I had a mastectomy, one bad node, 6 mo of chemo, no radiation or reconstruction. I was 44 at the time. How are you doing with your chemo? I never got sick but had CMF. There are a lot of ladies here doing A/C. If you have any nausea be SURE to tell the onc about it. There is no reason anyone should be sick.If you are depressed or stressed be sure to ask for something to help you get through this. There are many drugs to help with nausea and other problems. Some ladies, including me, have no health insurance. I keep forgetting to post about this. If you are low income or have no insurance be sure to talk to the hospital/clinic. I have paid the hospital and clinic $20/mo for the past 16 yrs! There is hardly a month goes by that I am not paying for one thing or another. your patient advocate can help you out with arrangements. I will keep you in my prayers. Your situation is similar to mine, except I am getting a full eight chemos (first two were AC, second two were Taxotere/Carboplatin, last four are T/C/Avastin). I am 44 and have two teenagers and one preteen. My surgery will be in December. Where abouts are you? Not too many places use neoadjuvant (pre-surgery chemo) treatment. -Frances -- -Frances Bartels *** ki0dz@... Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to this huge and growing everyday group of survivors. I am also new to the group and have read a wealth of inspiring stories of strength and courage. I am stage II IDC, three years from diagnosis. I am just dealing with chemo after effects. I really can't complain, I have had three years watching my son grow up! Hope to hear from you again. Peace Lee Ann > > Hi all, > This is my first posting. I have stage 3b breast cancer.
