Guest guest
WONDERFUL news. Are you using a meter to test your BS daily? My A1c in December was 10.9 & I need to be below 8 before I can try for another baby. I'm going in Mid May & am hoping I'm there. What I would like to ask is, what is your average on your blood meter? Mine is currently 166 so that should put me around 7 or maybe even lower. I'm just curious how accurate I might be. Thanks & Congratulations!!!! Kris wrote: Hi. I don't know if any of you remember my intro from awhile ago. For the past year my blood sugars have been really out of control, my A1C in January was 15.9. Well, I've been working for the last several months with a case manager to get everything under control. Just found out yesterday that my last A1C was 8.6! Still higher than it should be, but SO much better than it was. Just wanted to share with some people that will understand. I am very pleased with my progress. Diabetes homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/diabetes/ To unsubscribe to this group, send an email to: diabetes-unsubscribe Hope you come back soon! My average on my meter says 153 for the 14 day average. However, the last couple of weeks, my sugars have been much much better, if I could tell you my average from a month ago or so, it would have been higher, and from 2 months ago, much higher still. So, I don't know if this really helps you or not. Good luck with your test. I hope you get good results and can start trying for a baby! Guest guest
Yes, that does help. My average for the last month has been between 153 & 166 so I feel pretty good about thinking that my A1c should at least be around 8. Thanks!
