Guest guest
Kim, First you get better, by then maybe you'll have furniture, then you could have teachers over for some fun. I like to have tea party's. we have a place here that is called Miss Atties Tea House, and you can do a party there, have tea finger sandwiches, finger deserts, it is a lot of fun!! I just might have my neighbors over, for a just to get to know you Tea, that would be fun??? WHen I'm up for it to, who knows when that will be. Today I will go two hours with some friends to see my husband be Knighted 4th degree, it's a Religion thing, but an honor to get there, He goes all day, with training, etc. then us women come up later and join them for mass and social hour, and buffet. It should be fun, I slept in until 10am so I could do it, now I need to hit the shower and get ready, I just hope I can get through the day without too much pain?? and the figure each other out part, well he says he is doing all this for me? huh? Oh well, have a rested weekend, are you ahead of us or behind?? I think I figured out your day is our night or close??? Well take care dear friend. God bless you and love you, Marla Dear Marla do we ever figure each other out? it would be fun to plan a party/get together wouldnt it? i was thinking to have the teachers over like we usually do every year, but we dont have anything here to sit on, hahaha. there is no way im up for it anyway, maybe later in the year right? take care kim ns moderator -- May the Lord bless us and keep us! Guest guest
Marla I have never heard of being Knighted to the fourth degree or any degree, I dont know anything about this, but it sounds like quite an honor and quite interesting. I hope the ceremony went well. Sorry its been long in answering your email, I had kept it to go back to so I could take my time replying. You have been quite a couple days, I do hope you are alright and just enjoying some good days instaed of down and out or pushing yourself to much or osmething. I've been sleeping so much the past few days, I just cant stay awake it seems. I do get to sleep little late, by 1100 or 1130, but we arent getting up as early anymore for school either, usually 700. I still have to sleep most the day away. I just drop wihtin a few seconds. Its ridiculous, I will be in the deepest sleep and feel like i was sleeping for so long, when its just been fifteen minutes or so sometimes. Other times I sleep for hours and wake up wondering where hte time went. The whole day is gone. We are ahead of you, seven hours now, whenyour time changes it will be eight hours. Guest guest
Hi Kim, It's related to the church we belong to, he is a member of the "Knights of Columbus" they ate world wide, but again linked to our Religion. They do allot for the poor and needy, they raise money to help others, some of the guys spend time at the nursing homes when able, and stuff in that line. I pushed him to join, and now I never see him :-\ , but he enjoys it. Yes I have been busy with kay this week, and of course school, I really enjoy teaching, but it does take up some of my home time too, but at least I can do some of the work at home. I am doing OK. We are having cold rain, and that seems to make me cold to the bone, and then the bones hurt! Oh well, I get through it. I know that tired feeling too, some days I just can't seem to move either. I hope you have found a way to get in for your treatments? Take care of yourself. Love, Marla Marla I have never heard of being Knighted to the fourth degree or any degree, I dont know anything about this, but it sounds like quite an honor and quite interesting. Guest guest
Marla This sounds like an excellent group that your husband is involved in, if you are not seeing him much I guess it is best to not be seeing him due to something like this rather than anything else, unless it was because due to him running your kids to ball games etc, I am glad that you are having a "good week", when you are busy with mary kay, are you doing the home parties? or make overs or what? it would be a fun thing to do and keep you social and mixing with other people, that would be so nice. no wonder you enjoy it so much now that i think of it. plus all that make up fun. when my oldest daughter was in ummm, must of been 4th grade, now i iwll cry remembering this... for her birthday we did a mary kay make over party. we had an entire houseful of girls, she was such a socialite and still is, and they did the entire thing, facials and manicures and make up. it was so fun. my friend who sold mary kay brought her 13 year old and her firends to help with the whole thing. the girls loved it. we gave them each little gift bags of samples as their gift bags and they had a sleep over. It was fun. We have had a distinct shift in our weather as of yesterday that i hope holds out, winter on its way a bit early?? we actually had the windows open for the first time and a nice breeze blowing in, actual air for the first time could be breathed. And guess what?? My buffet and hutch are being put together as we speak, the table and chairs are already standing! Today we eat at an actual table, we are all so excited. it wil be so odd. Guest guest
Kim, congratulations on the new dinning room set, I'm sure you will feel better being able to sit at a table, rather the floor. Enjoy! I ask my daughter if she wants an MK party and she said NO, see since I do it, it's no big deal. Last year we did toes and fingers, and all the girls but Marina did it, but then she does it every time I do, so it's truly no big deal for her. I am having a lot of "husband" stress right now, I went to a MK retreat this weekend, left Friday and came home Sat. it was excellent, they really lift me up, they are such a wonderful Christian organization, our speaker, quoted the bible when giving an inspiration talk, I thought that was awesome, not all of our speakers are like that. Anyway, it was a struggle as life is, I took three times the pain meds I usually do, and left the Friday night party early to go to bed, while the "normal" girls stayed later and had fun, but I know just how far I can push it. I did not drive but rode with some one. But my husband thinks just because I go, I should be normal, and do normal things around here, I got home to a 6 page letter!! won't go into those details, anyway I see my counselor today, I think I just need to learn how to deal with him, and change my ways. Life would be so much easier if we could just all be on the same page!! Sorry to go on, will stop now. Hope you are doing better Kim, take care of YOU, love and blessings, Marla Marla This sounds like an excellent group that your husband is involved in, if you are not seeing him much I guess it is best to not be seeing him due to something like this rather than anything else, unless it was because due to him running your kids to ball games etc, I am glad that you are having a "good week", when you are busy with mary kay, are you doing the home parties? or make overs or what? it would be a fun thing to do and keep you social and mixing with other people, that would be so nice. no wonder you enjoy it so much now that i think of it. plus all that make up fun. when my oldest daughter was in ummm, must of been 4th grade, now i iwll cry remembering this... for her birthday we did a mary kay make over party. we had an entire houseful of girls, she was such a socialite and still is, and they did the entire thing, facials and manicures and make up. it was so fun. my friend who sold mary kay brought her 13 year old and her firends to help with the whole thing. the girls loved it. we gave them each little gift bags of samples as their gift bags and they had a sleep over. Guest guest
Marla, I'm glad you had a great time at your conference. It's a shame you had to come home to unpleasantness. I know how you feel about Marina & the MK stuff. With my girls, and , they would have friends over who thought it was so cool that I was a midwife and wanted to hear about it. My girls would just roll their eyes & drag them away. Brad really had no interest at all until he was in high school & I helped a couple of his classmates give birth. Of course, I never mentioned it to him because of privacy, but they told him about it & he was really impressed. Well, good luck with the counseling & dealing with hubby.
