Guest guest
How about under scripting there are three things, active scripting, allow paste operations via script and scripting of java applets. SHould I disable all three or just the active scripting? Oh thanks Robin, I hope it's not too late. doomsayer. -- Re: viruses also - to keep from getting any viruses from websites, go to your internet properties, and then click on security. click 'custom level' on each level of the internet, like 'internet', 'trusted sites', etc.........and look towards the bottom of all those choices and make sure that 'active scripting is DISABLED. Jane > why do you have to know who it's from before you open it if it's from your group? you have attachments going into a different file, right? Guest guest
I think you're a natural teacher, Robin. Thank you!!! And I appreciate your help enormously. And I have the same question does about scripting. . . . ) > you create a folder under your inbox and name it something like 'attachments' and then go to the top of your outlook express, and click on tools/message rules/mail. then set it up so that 'when e-mail contains 'an attachment' send it to folder 'attachments'. then be sure to do the apply button when you are done. Guest guest
Hi , Norton most generally sends out updates on Tuesday or Wednesday. I have mine set so it will automatically download and install without asking me. I still do my own live updates on Thursdays and usually Monday. I do a complete scan once a week - scheduled for Friday. Every once in a while I will get a little notice that I've had a hit from the outside. Some are viruses/worms and some are innocent. I am sure glad I have it. I also do a windows update at least once a week and make sure I have all the updates I need. I had a real bad virus a couple years back that almost killed my 'puter. Since then I have been fussy about it. Hugs - a B"(Brat)" wrote: I am getting hit big time by virus things this morning! Thank you so much for Nortons!! Is it virus day or what?
