Guest guest Posted February 24, 2004 Report Share Posted February 24, 2004 Hi Everyone, I know that my brother in law Bob had written you all telling you about my flu. The shot sure didn't work this year for sure and, with my immune system so low, it hung on for dear life. All I can do was to drag myself out of bed to go to the bathroom. Bob and, my friend Connie came over to help feed my pets for me and, my Pom Brenna would not leave my side. She is my life. Along with my depressing birthday with both of my sisters forgetting it as usual and, Valentine's Day, it sure didn't help matters any. I don't know why my sisters make me cry every year for it's been over 7 years since I heard from them but, they are blood. It just makes me so damn mad that the bottle comes first for them for, my Mom died of her alcoholism and, I hated her for that. She was so mean when she got drunk and, both sisters are like that now. For the ones who don't know me yet, I have been widowed going on three years this coming July and, I still miss my Cris so bad. Other than my brother in law and, mom in law, I am so alone. With the cold gloomy weather we're still getting, it sure doesn't help the depression much either. I do try to get out with my girlfriends when I can but, it just wears me out anymore. I think when Spring gets closer, I can finally get out more and, do the things I want to like traveling again. I know that Bob wants me to take some kind of help with my depression and, I had tried but, I just hated sitting around a bunch of strangers I didn't know talking about my troubles. I did get a letter from another friend I hadn't heard from in a long time and, she asked me what pets I had. When I told her that I had a Pomeranian, a cat and, two Cockatiels, she got excited. She breeds and sells Conure's. When I went to Petsmart and, saw some, I instantly fell in love with them. Of course, I would defiantly buy one from a well known breeder than a pet store and, I told her yes. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri (about a 4 hour drive from me) and, she said she had six new babies that will be ready by the end of March. I had to say YES!!! Other than feeling still a bit weak and, this constant headache, I will come back slow but sure. Happy Birthday to the ones, I've missed. Happy Anniversaries to the ones I've missed. As for the depression, are you taking any antidepressants for it? You know by now that it goes with Lupus, like hand in glove, and taking medication for it is normal for us. Please look into that angle, and that way you don't necessarily have to share your thoughts with strangers. Listen up, Trudy girl, we want you around for a long time, now.
