Guest guest
I mail ordered mine from EASE Distributing. They faxed me a size chart, but I sent the chart and footprints to Dr. Colburn to double check that I was ordering the correct size. The shoes were in the $60 range. If I paid with credit card and had them shipped to the doctor for stretching I wasn't charged shipping. I think that was deal that Dr. Colburn had with them. My insurance will only pay for one pair of shoes a year. I had to pay for the rest. It was easy. EASE Distributing 1- Oakland, CA good luck Tonya and San Diego, CA bcf cost of shoes?? Just wondering what the shoes cost if you buy them instead of filing insurance? My insurance is a total pain in the keester and it is worth it to me to pay rather than adding anymore stress to my life. Grace desperately needs a new pair. Should I just stick with the same style or do the new ones seem better? Thanks, Also, I have a list of shoe stores here that carry them.....do I trust that they measure her properly or would I need a Dr to measure her? Guest guest
Hi - The cost of the old Markell for me were $65 the new Markell (padded) are $99. My place tried to order the old ones for me (because we never had a problem with them) so I could pay $65, but Markell told them they were all out of them and not selling the old style anymore. I like the new ones because the leather is so much softer. I just used the new ones last night and my son did get his CF foot out of them though. His CF foot is smaller, so I don't know if that is why or not. I'll try them a little tighter tonight and if he still gets out I'll put the old one back on for awhile until his foot grows a little more. > >Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot >To: nosurgery4clubfoot >Subject: cost of shoes?? >Date: Sat, 15 May 2004 14:46:48 -0000 > >Just wondering what the shoes cost if you buy them instead of filing >insurance? Guest guest
, Sorry I don't remember what age your child is. I have a pair of size 2's that we won't need soon. Did you already order the new ones? I learned yesterday that apparently they didn't order her shoes a month ago like I requested. So it will be a couple of weeks before we get the new ones (and then she'll need 3's instead of 2-1/2's ughh!) but they're up for grabs for anyone who needs them. In good shape, a little bunged up on the toes where she crawls in them but still a lot of life left. Anyone? Guest guest
I believe that Jake's open-toed shoes for his dbb cost around $35 each. We got the bar from the dr's office at no charge. Through an insurance glitch they covered about 50% of the shoe cost--amazing that it would actually come out in our favor for a change!
