Please forgive me if I sound dense, but I did not get the gist of your post.

Would you please clarify?

Thanks,

Yes, I would like a reason for the relevance of this post to this

group. I notice you just joined and posted this, and similarly to

other groups. So if there is a point, please share it. If not, it

needs to be disregarded.

Well, the point of my post is that I believe babycenter.com is owned

or partially owned by a pharmaceutical company.

And I just rejoined this list. I had been off for a while as I had

been having computer problems. I used to be signed on with either my

old id stralinchey, clairemary70, or my old e-mail address,

clairetanaka@.... I'm sorry I can't remember which.

I still don't see how this is relavant. There is enough paranoia and

problems to deal with in daily life without looking for new ones (or

creating them).

Is there something you are looking for in particular? Did you have a

question about enzymes or gut health?

I thought that I wasn't going to post this but I changed my mind. I

think it's something that needs to be shared.

I participated in a vaccine debate board at babycenter.com a couple

times last year. The last time was in October I believe. Some

interesting things followed.

Cutler disappeared from the board right at the

end of the debate. Also there were a lot of posts about something

in the debate, peripheral neuropathy, which I didn't handle very

well in the debate.

Also, a little while after I finished the debate board, I tried the

SCD with my son. However, he went into high ketosis. So I posted a

message about it to the Elaineschildren list. But I quickly got

accused of spam. At first I thought it was because they thought I

was lying. But I looked through the other posts and saw that other

people had a problem with ketosis but had not gotten accused of

spam. There weren't many, but there was one about vaccine activism.

There was something else interesting on the Pecanbread website. I

saw that the new edition has a chapter about vaccine " damage " . We

don't usually say vaccine " damage " in the autism community. We say

vaccine injury. But the other place I saw this term used was on the

debate board. Vaccine " damage " was THE term. In fact, several

months ago some of the debaters had a discussion as to why they used

the term, some found it offensive.

There was another interesting correlation between the SCD and the

vaccine board. I mentioned the GFCF diet for autistic kids several

times, but the other participants, who didn't have autistic kids,

only replied about gluten, not casein.

So it has made me wonder something. On some boards there's a lot of

anti-GFCF sentiment and the supplements are not allowed to be

discussed sometimes. Now certainly other diets such as the SCD etc.

help kids too. My son follows a very modified version of GFCF. But

is this anti-GFCF and anti-supplement sentiment strictly because of

science, or is it because the GFCF people and the DAN doctors have

spoken PUBLICLY about the autism-vaccine connection.

And another thing worthy of consideration is Pfeiffer Clinic in

Illinois. There was an interesting article about it in the Schafer

report recently I believe.
