Metal-free nightmare

We have done metal-free for 2 weeks (doctor assured us it is gentle and

safe). My own research on the archives of this godsent group and looking up

ingredients has me panicKed. Is lipoic acid the same thing as ALA? We are

only giving her one dose a day. I know now not to blindly trust any doctor.

I gave her a dose this morning but don't plan on doing any more.

In the two weeks she has made improvements but has also been more difficult

to handle. Tonight I noticed a red splotch on her neck. She has a lot of

food allergies but never has had a rash on her neck. I feel like an idot

that we gave it to her with out checking more first.

Try not be too hard on yourself. I am sure you had your son's best

interest at heart. Stop what you're doing, Breathe! Give him Andy's

recommended supplements as soon as possible, take several days off

and begin again every 3-4 hours, 1/4 to 1/8 mg per pound of

bodyweight.

Hope this helps,

Tina

We used Metal Free with my son for a month. Didn't see any reactions

either positive or negative. We also did pre and post metals test

and there was no difference in the two so we stopped and moved on to

DMSA. Hopefully your daughter will have little to no reaction. As

someone else said, don't beat yourself up over it, take it as a

lesson learned and move on. HTH.
