Guest guest
Wow 2 years in the swing? All mine, once they could would grab the leg and stop themselves at a certain point. And I stopped using it then and there. Plus it had a wight limit of 20 pounds. But at about 5-6 mo they just would grab the bar and stop it, drove me nuts! lol Darbi loved her jumper too - thunk, thunk, thunk goes the brace hehe! Guest guest
Everyone (doctors) contradict each other so much! 's PT told me those jump up things were TERRIBLE for children's legs and feet. s. Bearing weight I was just playing with and letting him jump on the floor when he stopped and just stood there, legs straight and bearing weight on his feet! He just turned 4-months on July 25th. His feet were flat on the floor, although his one foot tips toward the inside a bit at times, but that's from the muscle imbalance and should hopefully fix itself when he starts walking. I was just soooo happy to see him bear weight on his feet and to see that they were flat on the floor! I wasn't expecting that to happen for a while yet. Guest guest
Our physio said that everything including the walkers are all fine used in MODERATION. We had a jumper and Connor would go in for 10 mins or so. They don't actually take weight but they can feel their feet. He also had a walker but didn't go in that for long periods. I think problems start when they are put in things for hours on end.... Rach, Steve & Connor -- Re: RE: Bearing weight/OT question Everyone (doctors) contradict each other so much! Guest guest
That makes since. had a saucer but like with most toys and most babies, they grow bored of them fairly quickly. s. Guest guest
has an exersaucer and some other type of activity center with the seat, but he won't stay in them for very long periods, either...maybe 10-15 minutes....20 at the most, and that's rare, so I don't worry about watching the clock to make sure he's not in them for too long....he does that for me! LOL He enjoys them for a short time, and then wants to move on to something else. I thought about trying a jumper since he really likes doing that, but I heard they weren't good for them and created frustration because no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get out of the doorway. Plus, I don't really have a doorway that I could put it in.....We live in a small condo and both our room and his room are too close to the stairs for me to be comfortable...bathroom too. No doorways downstairs to put it in either. The exersaucer is supposed to bounce, and it has springs to bounce, but he doesn't seem to bounce it in. I don't know if he's just not strong enough yet to make it bounce or not, or if it's just not very good for that. and BCF 03/25/2004 DBB 23/7 Bearing weight > > I was just playing with and letting him jump on the floor when > he stopped and just stood there, legs straight and bearing weight on his > feet!
