Yes I suppose this is true. I always thought I was a wimp when I would get

out of breath in certain exercise situations (especially climbing up a lot of

stairs or going uphill for a long way.) Does taking digoxin help with a

stronger heartbeat?

Lil: Yes, I believe both hawthorn and Digoxin both strengthen the

heartbeat. The dichotomy seems to be that the beta blockers weaken

it a bit. I'm rapidly getting beyond my knowledge of medications,

however, so I'd like to hear from anyone with more knowledge. Have

you ever known of either hawthorn or Digioxin being prescribed

concurrently with beta blockers?

There are those who believe Digioxin is contraindicated for some

types of afib no matter what.

Yes, digoxin is contraindicated for some people who have A-fib,

at least in my understanding. For instance, my A-fib is caused by a

structural problem with my heart called HOCM, or HCM. Because of

this, I don't believe I can take digoxin.
