Guest guest
I didn't ask Dr. Natale to define the term " late recurrence " . But in my mind, when I asked him the question, I was thinking about a recurrence of afib following an apparently successful ablation, anytime from six months post ablation, to infinity, I guess. Along those lines, Dr. Natale follows his patients for a full year after ablation. I will be going in for a follow-up with my own EP later this month, when I will be hooked up with a 48 hour Holter monitor to see if I am having any afib that I don't know I am having. My EP will forward the results on to Dr. Natale. Then, 3 months later, another 48-hour Holter. So far, so good, and I have already lost track of how long I have been in NSR following my ablation. 7 months? Only in the last two to three years have patients been going for ablations at an increased rate. I think that soon we will be seeing more information on this subject. > > Thanks you ! > > What is a " late recurrence " ?
