HI guys..

Question for those ppl who had their gastric bypass 12months or more

ago..

HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE KEPT ALL THE WEIGHT THAT YOU LOST OFF?? AND IF YOU PUT IT

ON, HOW MUCH?

I am over a year out now and so far still losing it is just slower now

I had my surgery in 1997 and lost 140 lbs. I did regain 10 lbs but that

was my own fault--no one warned me about the dangers of eating too much

pasta. <G> Other than that I've not had a problem.

My low wt was 104, but I stuck at about 110-115 lbs

My low wt was 104, but I stuck at about 110-115 lbs

, I am 18 months out and have lost 150 lbs and have kept it off. I flow

the same rules as I first started by. No Milk, No Sugar, Low Carbs &

Exercise - ok well some of the rules- I don't do that as much as I should

but one should keep it up.

I am 6 weeks out and can't even imagine eating the way I used to. I

really don't have the desire to. A few times I have had some

cravings and had a few bites of something I wanted but there is no

way I could pig out like I used to.... I wouldn't even want to.

Does this change over time? I've heard that you can eat more after

a while. For me eating out at Buffets was my problem.... I don't

think that will ever be a problem....

Anyways I think it is interesting that several people who have I

told about my surgery has said, " I have an Aunt or Uncle that had

that and they gained all the weight back "

I have to question the truth of that... Did they have the same

surgery or was it really something else? . I'm sure there are some

that have gained weight back but gained ALL of the weight back...

wouldn't you have to eat all day long?

Maybe some of these people started out with a bigger pouch.... My

doctor told me that he does all his 1/2 oz because some people with

the 2oz pouchs have gained some of the weight back... I don't know

if that is true?

Anyways I'm sure there is more to the story for the people who have

gained weight back if you really look into it.
