Guest guest
Yes, and this was the first thing I also thought of when told me about using this and similar products to alkalinize the system, partially through the skin. Most of us al have have PH that is way yoo low (acid) and therefore the effort to alkalinize it to bring it back up to a normal healthy ph. I think that is about in the 7.2-7.4 range, if memory serves me) Due to the toxins in the environent and our foods, we are depletd in minerals and very few of us are in that healthy range. Were you referring to the acid mantle of the skin? I also questioned about using a topical to help balance ph for that very same reason. However, the Master's Miracle products are designed to alkalinize the system, not the skin. I do not use the product myself, (excpt for the soap for my teeth) but i believe most of the alkalinizing effest of the topicals in the line are predominantly energized water (H202) and minerals. Essentially, disease sets up house in an anaerobic, acidic environment. SOME QUOTES: 1) " Chemistry of body fluids must be balanced in order for the process of fermentation to function normally. This requires a pH acid/alkaline balance. Normal blood pH has a very small window of normalcy. It must range between 7.35 and 7.45. This means that there is an adequate amount of oxygen in the blood. Any slight decrease in blood pH will result in lower oxygen levels and, therefore, in the cells. Even a slight drop in pH is the beginning of a disease state. " Dr. Mercola 2) For the body to function normally, blood pH must range between 7.35 and 7.45. These numbers indicate a slightly alkaline state. Any value below 7.0 is considered acidic, any value above 7.0 is alkaline. In the body there are complex biochemical processes called buffering systems that work to keep the blood pH within this narrow range. This function is critical, as even slight deviations from normal pH have a profound impact on all metabolic functions. A shift in pH range will result in decreased oxygen delivery to cells, impaired mineral balance, altered enzymatic-metabolic function, and an increased tendency to develop infectious and chronic-degenerative diseases. In fact, checking the blood and saliva pH is one of the first things to do if one is experiencing illness.² Null 3) ³Šthe unfriendly bacteria and fungi that populate our intestinal tracts thrive in an acidic environment and are responsible for secreting mycotoxins, which are the root cause of many debilitating human conditions. In fact, many researchers believe that most diseases can be linked to blood and intestinal acidity, which contributes to an acidbased yeast and fungus dominance.² - Young 4) " When putrefaction takes over, toxins and waste products that are normally eliminated from our body are retained and enter the blood. The blood pH changes due to high acidity in body fluids. Over time, if the body remains in high acidity, the blood with become acidic and a condition known as acidosis will occur. This puts the body in a diseased state, destroying organs and eventually leading to death " Dr. Mercola Also, for oral health, the whole idea is to get rid of the aicds that break down your teeth and gums form my understanding. This is why many people use baking soda. As always: if I am in error about any of what I am suggesting, I am always open for corrrection , in fact. Guest guest
The ideal pH balance for humans is 7.4. There is a very small range of acidity in which we can even survive, so small variations dramatically affect or indicate our health. A person with unusually extreme alkalinity, for example, is likely to be epileptic. People with extreme acidity, on the other hand, are, well, your every day tired Americans on the constant verge of allergies and colds. The tiny microbes that comprise viruses and bacteria need acid conditions to exist, just as fire needs oxygen. If you eliminate oxygen, you kill the fire. If you eliminate extreme acidity, viruses cannot survive. Keep track of your pH level with litmus tape. Small rolls of yellow paper that are used in laboratory settings can help you test your acidity as often as you like. Just place an inch of the paper under your tongue for a few seconds and then compare the resulting color to the chart on the tape box. You can get a supply from chemical suppliers that will last you forever, or just one roll of tape from macrobiotic and natural health companies. Saliva is the least accurate way of testing pH, urine being the next best, and blood the most accurate reflector of your acid level. Saliva is easy to test however, and is plenty accurate enough to use on a daily basis for people in relatively good health. It is also impressive to watch how quickly you can change your pH level by testing your saliva between meals, or after you eat an acid producing food like a cookie! Congratulations! You are on your way to preventing colds and flu and strengthening your immune system the natural way. You are right Inga, no doubt, just wanted to raise the question Kerry Ingrid Mager wrote:Yes, and this was the first thing I also thought of when told me about using this and similar products to alkalinize the system, partially through the skin. If you eliminate extreme acidity, viruses cannot survive. Just wanted to add (for others who may be reading this) - and I am no expert in this area...but.... a very alkaline reading can also mean that you are basically very acidic and that your body is sending out tons of ammonia in a desperate effort to keep itself alkaline enough to sustain life...in doing so it is also leaching minerals out of our bones and such. SO if you thik you are acidic, and you take a urine/litmus test upon arising, and it says you are way alkaline...thik again. Very few people are actually too alkaline. ~Inga
