Guest guest
Thanks Kristi and ! You guys are all right - soup and juice and popsicles... and here I am so absorbed with medicine and illness and all the first thing I think of is what medicine can I give him that is safe... He probably doesn't need any medicine - except what I can do to keep his fever down... he seems to be doing a little better now than he was this AM ... but he didn't like my soup and spilled it all over the floor Pretty much did the same with his yogurt this AM. Will try again (maybe with a smoothie) when he gets up from his nap! Thanks for all the suggestions, Pam B.
Guest guest
Pam, Bart won't prescribe over the internet--and I've forgotten all the 2 year old stuff except the cabbage leaf, it's been so long since I've had a 2 year old. But I can say, for a cold without a high fever, there's a Chinese herbal pill called gan mao ling, available in any herbalist store, that works wonders once you've got the cold--the stuff is totally benign and shortens it by half. And, if you can catch it before you get the cold, when you just start getting the sore throat, yin ciao tablets are incredible, they usually stop it in its tracks. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I think Simon's chicken soup idea is right on. Guest guest
There are a lot of colds going around here, too. Happens every year after school starts. With regard to allergies, any of you catch the articles on studies showing that kids who grow up on farms or with pets develop significantly less allergies ?
