Guest guest
>Here's yesterdays menu. I weigh 247.94 today yeah! > >Bobbi Jo Yeah! That's great news. I am very proud of myself for yesterday. I had been " stuck " for a few days at one weight and getting frustrated. This seems to be my pattern since I started working out. I will stay at one weight, then drop a few pounds overnight, then stay. Anyway, took my kids to the zoo yesterday, where I always get the corn dogs. But I stayed on plan! Today, down 2 pounds, which brings this induction total to 12 so far! Guest guest
Hi, I am very happy for you! Maybe you or someone could help me out. I have been trying this atkins diet for 8 days and have not lost a pound. The first three days I thought I could get away with one cup of coffee a day, but I have now given that up too. Yesterday after a terrible day with a headache and feeling awful, I tested myself and showed some color. This morning I showed alot of color(lavendar-next to the last one) Then I tested again this evening and am back up to the first level. This is very hard for me because I have vegetarian tendencies. Please help, I am about to quit! Thank you, Karscha

Guest guest
Awesome DANA!!! that is hard to do indeed. Habits and patterns take a while. You should really be proud. When you exercise that can happen but, in the long run you'll lose better plus the added benefit of getting the muscles toned Bobbi Jo > Yeah! Guest guest
Thank you all for responding to my desperate cry for help. It really helps just to hear from someone who is on this diet! Here I have listed a few items that are popular in my diet: Salmon spead on lettuce(cream cheese and mayo base) Eggs, bacon or sausage breakfast Steak Tuna fish(w/mayo & bits of green onion) with small amount of lettuce Sugar Free Jello w/whipping cream Canadian Mist Diet drink (I haven't had time to get too creative) Would fasting for a day help? Then begin again with a strick induction menu? I will watch the water and check on the vitamins. Thank you so much! Any further advise would be much appreciated, oh and I love to hear the successes! Congrats to them! Guest guest
Don't fast. Just follow induction to the letter and see what happens. Make sure that you are drinking enough water (a minimum of 64 oz. + 8 oz. for every 25 pounds you are overweight is the general rule of thumb). Guest guest
I agree with Kirstie... DON'T FAST. Unless for a specific medical reason (such as prior to a medical procedure / test and under the specific instructions from your physician) it's one of the worst things for your body. The body is like an engine and needs fuel to burn for energy. Fasting prior to starting atkins would be like running your car on empty prior to filling the tank with Premium Unleaded gasoline. Be kind to your body and just start on Induction. And be sure to drink the appropriate amount of water (64oz minimum and then another 8oz for EACH 25 pounds you want to lose). -Marlena 214.5/161.6/150 > >Reply-To: Atkins_Support_List >To: <Atkins_Support_List > >Subject: RE: Re: induction buddies.... >Date: Sun, 9 Sep 2001 21:58:30 -0300 > >Don't fast. > >Just follow induction to the letter and see what happens.
