Andy and listmates,

We are chelating our 5 y.o. son using ALA. On the days off we have

been doing transdermal glutathione. Should we continue transdermal

glutathione during the on days as well?

Thank you,

Andrei in Salt Lake City

Transdermal glutathione is pretty irrelevant. Do whatever you want with

it. But if you want to help your child get better, check his plasma

cysteine and only give him sulfury stuff if it is low - and in that

case give him LOTS of it. Mostly as food, some NAC if he needs more.

If cysteine is normal, don't do anything special. If it is high, no

sulfury stuff at all.

Is there a specific test to check the cysteine level (i.e. does it come in a

package test like liver panel)?

Also, is homocysteine level related in some way to the cysteine level?

Thanks,
