Guest guest
I don't know about the risk to your family, but your tutor should look into the risks to her future children from her taking the MMR shot. She should read Dr. Yazbak's paper at Redflagsweekly. -KIM [ ] ABA tutor is getting a Rubella vaccination One of my ABA tutors has just informed me that that she is going to work for a hospital in an ABA clinic and her rubella titres came back low and the hospital requires her to have a Rubella vaccination. SHE SAYS that someone in Employee Health assured her that she is getting ONLY the Rubella vaccination, but then she told me that they want her to be on her period because the rubella virus is live. From what *I've* read, the MEASLES portion of the MMR is LIVE, not rubella or mumps, so I'm assuming the Employee Health is misinformed (or lied to her) and that the tutor will get an MMR. My three children, (one is autistic), all had complete first rounds of vaccinations, but I've stopped vaccinating. No boosters. (My twins will begin kindergarten in fall.) Will our family be at any risk by being exposed to a person who has taken the rubella vaccine or the MMR vaccine? If so, how long do we have to stay away from her? =======================================================

Guest guest
This document http://www.nitrf.org/autistic.html says it's contagious for 7 days after the vaccine. I heard that in MMR all 3 viruses are live ones.
