Guest guest
Terri, I hope you don't mind that add something in here. I had the laying of hands and anointing, and have felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, I have had more energy, and that is the biggest change, as I was sleeping all the time. I have decrease in pain, but it's still there, and if I'm tired or stress it still gets worse, Tracie answered me in a previous email I thought was perfect, and that is that there are different levels of healing, I do believe that. I think if you have the opportunity to have a laying of the hands, I would do it, that doesn't mean that we just throw the doc and the meds out the window, you are right God gave us the advanced technology, but God is still very much present in our life today, and why not try all there is out there for healing. It was stepping outside the box for me to do it, as I'm an RN, been in the medical field for almost 30 years, but I took that leap of faith, and the big one for me is, I don't have to take naps anymore!! Terri, God gave us all we have, that makes him still the one who knows best, give him a chance. (I don't mean to preach, just share). God Bless, Marla Tracie, I have a question for you - what do you feel about annointing and laying on of hands. My Yogi is also a lay minister at his church and my Pastor has offered the same. I have always felt that God gave us doctors and medicine because our lives are so advanced and different from biblical times, but I also believe in the mind-body connection and things like that. Just curious. Thanks. Terri G. In a message dated 1/19/06 4:21:30 PM Pacific Standard Time, mebramer@g... writes: Tracie do you find your spiritual healing helpful still? I know for me pray is big, I find I feel better if I keep my prayer life full, or even for some, meditation, which is allot like being in prayer, as opposed to saying prayers, does that make sense? Marla, My acceptance of my illness is very much a Spiritual healing. I'm not saying that we can't find ourself totally healed someday. That possibilty is still open. I've come to realize thru both personal experience as well as being so gifted by the graciousness of some very, very dear friends that walked a similar path --that even though the cancers they had, the late effects of childhood Hodgkins- where one lady's entire body had ended up scarred and fibrosed by the high dose radiation she recieved in the 1960's (she was one of the first in the entire world to get radiation treatment)--that even though her organs were burnt up and useless, she lived every day with such Love and faced her own death with such integrity (yep, she went thru all the stages of grief also)--but what came home to me was that even in her last days- she was calm and accepting and realized that death was only the body and that eternity would be what follows. She is the one that introduced me to Reiki. I still use it on myself, and recently have connected with another healer and have been able to trade her Reiki for massages. If you aren't aware of what Reiki is-- check out this site. http://www.dpierce.com/reiki/index.htm Pat is my Reiki Master, and her ability to channel energy is incredible. I have never seen a more "pure" energy. It truly is wonderful. Does it help? Truly, I believe my ability to help people find their healing, be it physical, spiritual or emotional or mental-- is because of this gift. It is not ME or MY Energy--it is true Spiritual Energy. If you read up about this-- you'll see that it goes back to 7th Century Tibetan Munks who needed to answer the question of how Jesus healed by "Laying on of Hands." It is so easy for those around us to question whether we have "lost" our faith if we relapse, or if we continue to use multiple modalities to stay as healthy (on all levels) as possible. This was huge for me, as several people that I loved, and wanted in my life-- felt that if I searched out Western Medicine, instead of strictly Faith--that I was telling Faith that I didn't really believe in Him. It took me along time to realize that all of Western and Eastern and Indian faiths and traditions were all Gifts--and should work together to compliment each other. I think our Native American Indians understood this better than most of us do even today-- but I'm working on it! Guest guest
Marla,I do not mind at all regarding your experience. I think that like you, having worked in the medical field for a very long time (not nursing though) that I was skeptical about having it done. I guess I just look at it as something that was done in the past and we have doctors now. But after speaking with lots of people who have illnesses, that has been very beneficial. I guess that I think too that who am I to know why I have this illness - will not God have something for me to learn from this experience? It gets very complicated in my mind and I want to do something that I actually believe in. Does any of this make sense? Thanks again.Terri G. > > > >> >>In a message dated 1/19/06 4:21:30 PM Pacific Standard Time, > >>mebramer@g... writes:> >>> >>> >> > >>> >>>Tracie do you find your spiritual healing helpful still? > >>>I know for me pray is big, I find I feel better if I keep my prayer life > >>>full, or even for some, meditation, which is allot like being in prayer, as > >>>opposed to saying prayers, does that make sense? > >>>> >>> > >>>> >>Marla,> >>My acceptance of my illness is very much a Spiritual healing. Guest guest
Marla, remember that Luke is referred to as a physician. I hope he had a better attitude than some of the current batch. Guest guest
Terri I don't mean to but in your conversation but I think I know what you mean. Since I went on disability I wanted to find something I could still do with the extra time, like waiting for the drs. LOL We all know how long that can be so I was knitting & then my sister told me about a knitting group at her church. I made 25 scarves for an outreach to the homeless and am about to go meet the women who get together every week to do good works. I think this is what God had planned for me. grannylunatic@... __________________________________________________

Guest guest
, Thanks for that; I really feel something is supposed to come out of this, I just don't know what. I keep praying that I will see it when it is presented to me. Terri g. > > Terri > I don't mean to but in your conversation but I think I > know what you mean.
