Nell, when this happens to me- mostly triggered for me by something I ate

that was too cleansing, well I take a DMSA and it goes away. I have kids, I

can't be non-functioning with a killer headache. Wish I had something better

to offer, ~

" Aggghhh. I'm on day two of a terrible headache. Woke up with it night

before last, had it all day yesterday, woke up with it again early

this morning. It jumps around to different parts of my head. I've

tried Excedrin, yoga relaxation poses, wrapping my head, ice,

antifungals, charcoal. It won't budge.

I chelated last weekend without incident but am skipping this one. "

Did you follow the protocol? What and how often are you dosing?

TK--- I may be misunderstanding this post, But taking one DMSA is a

very bad idea.

If you want to start a new round that is fine after the appropriate

time period.

Skipping a weekend of chelation because of other problems is fine.

Otherwise deal with it using normal remidies. Food can be one of

the problems especially sulfer foods or foods you may have an

allergen to.

There can be many reasons which can cause them which you will need

to look into to prevent them. If they continue try and keep a diary

of what you eat, drink, do and when the headaches start. Allergens

can have delayed responses.

Headaches suck. I did not have headaches for years and years and

years until I started chelating. And they can be strange - I get

this one that is two inches back from my forehead and I keep

telling myself it is my pituitary detoxing - I sure hope so.

For me it is not uncommon to have a headache lift when I start a

new round. It is also not uncommon to get a headache on a round.

I agree with trying magnesium. Epsom salt bath might be good.

I haven't tried increasing calcium (but I'll try that one myself

next time).

Another idea is deep breathing, either in stillness or activity

like a walk. Have you ever tried the yogic alternate nostril

breathing? I've found that helpful sometimes with headaches.

Can you get someone to do some really gentle head/neck massage?

This may or may not apply to anyone else's headaches. I don't usually

ever get headaches. Since I started chelation I found that headaches

are often a signal that my potassium is low (and they go along with

feeling real lousy). Drinking alka seltzer gold has resolved them.

My husband and daughter both seem to get headaches from low magnesium

and exposure to allergens/chemicals. This time of year allergens are

big, at least where I live.

That's a good thought. I have been experiencing quite an increase in

brain function lately, so maybe it just hurts to clear some of those

old pockets out.

Yes, and thanks -- I tried everyone's suggestions, plus more

Excedrin (I know the acetominophen is bad news but Ex has usually

worked for me in the past and I was *desperate!) It's not totally gone

now but more of a lurking shadow headache, iykwim, so I can function.

>Have you ever tried the yogic alternate nostril

The few times my yoga teacher has done pranayama in class it's made me

really anxious, but that was before Cortef. It always surprised me how

powerful the effects of changing breathing patterns are.

JT, I was thinking the headache might mean low potassium too, so

I took some of that fizzy C with potassium and got that instant

clear-headed feeling. Bananas for breakfast today!

Once again, thank you so much listmates. I'm so glad this list has

gotten more active, and has so many smart people on it! As you all

know, when these bad moments hit it is very hard to think clearly

about the problem, and it's a great comfort to be able to come here

and borrow your brains for a moment. Thank you.
