Won appeal on Markell shoes!

When we got larger shoes, the insurance company denied the claim

since there was no bar with them. We got a letter from the doc stating that

he needed a larger size and would be in this brace for about 3-4 years. We

sent that to the insurance company along with our own letter and just got

the reply back today. They reviewed everything and the reviewer reversed

the denial! Yeah! I already sent the $72 to the orthotic place, but called

them and once they get payment from the insurance company, they'll be

sending us a refund!

went to the orthopedist on Monday for his check-up and the doc

said his feet look great! He's been bearing weight on his legs for a while

now, so the doc was able to see how they looked then too. We got another

prescription for new shoes and a longer adjustable red bar, which we'll be

making an appointment for soon. He can wear these ones a bit longer, but I

don't want to wait too long to get him into new, larger ones. We go back

again in three months.
