Guest guest
What is funny about this article is that it is occuring in the state of Ohio - HOME OF THE NATIONAL REGISTRY OF EMT'S. This organization STILL has strict and very limited hour requirements for continuing education for renewal through online sources, even though most other healthcare professions allow it for just about all of their requirements. And here is the state of Ohio setting up this progam. That is funny right there... LOL Jane Dinsmore To: texasems-l From: haussecker87@... Guest guest
Jane it's not fair to malign Ohio just because the NR make it their home I do see the irony of your point however. While I have an issue with the idea of 100% of any health career re certifying via online I do think we are limited by the NR in ways in today's world. I also happen to think that in Texas we are ahead of the curve on this one. Louis N. Guest guest
FYI, After the storm the emergency responders took a " pay cut " ,because the City was in such a financial bind. I think this is NOT just a failure of the City, but also of the County, State, and Feds. We are suppose to be in this all together during a local, state, and federal disaster. Are we not? Trust me my email has been blown up by much more in the mornings by things that have zero to do with EMS or first response. If I had a penny for every amen when some one agrees with some one, I could buy an expensive computer and the cheap-o I have. If everyone wants to DONATE cash just contact me off line and I will have a Texas or Nigeria bank you can send the money to. CALL ME and SEND CASH!! heh, heh.
