Guest guest Posted October 29, 2004 Report Share Posted October 29, 2004 Beth When I go to DisneyWorld, I spend around $3,500.00...This is for a family of 6, 3 of which are either teenaged males or adult males...This total includes gas and meals on the drive down and back, hotel at DW for 8 nights, tickets, meals twice a day (breakfast is in the hotel room with cereal, poptarts, etc), Character meals (generally 2), and of course, snacks like Mickey ears ice cream...We also go to Universal Studio for 2 days and have meals and snacks there...Then we are off to the beach for a week and we eat out for dinner every night at good restaurants... There are so many ways I could cut it down...The beach condo and meals could be eliminated saving about 1200... Triple A is the cheapest I have found for Park Hopper Passes but you can get cheaper room rates at www.mousesavers.com Sometimes the room rate is only $55. a night...I like staying at the Disney hotels because they have transportation to all of Disney properties and parks and Downtown Disney...You also get the Disney magic more when staying in their hotels...To me it is worth every penny I have...
