Resurf seems to involve a lot more cutting of tissuethan thr.I was wondering if

the cutting and separating ofmuscle has any negative aftereffects compard to

thr. Isaw the video of the resurf surgery(maybe that was amistake)

I don't believe it does involve much more cutting. I've seen videos of both,

and it was the THR video that nearly made me lose my supper-lol. The same

muscles have to be cut to get access to the hip. The biggest difference may be

in the length of the skin incisions and the scars, as they do need more access

for a resurf to get the reamers and things in there. My mom has two THR's and

her scars are much smaller than mine, but my recovery was MUCH quicker, and I am

able to do far more post-op than she can.
