Guest guest
Just completed Henry's 7th round of DMSA (3rd with ALA) last Saturday. Henry is 34 mos old, pretty good language for his age but somewhat limited imaginary play and poor motor planning. Yesterday I was using the spray window cleaner, and he kept saying " I want sprayer " , so I filled up an old one with water and gave it to him with a rag. He went around our living room " cleaning " (never did anything like this before), and then sat down with his play garage and matchbox cars. I left the room for a few minutes and came back, he was spraying the cars and wiping them off. I asked him what he was doing and he said " They are in the car wash " , then he started blowing on them like the air blowers in the drivethru car washes. Then later in the night, I watched him drag a chair into the kitchen, and put it in front of the frig because he wanted to get some ice from the door dispenser. This doesn't sound like much, but Henry generally doesn't use " tools " to get what he wants (like the chair) and this felt big to me. BTW...this is our 3rd round with ALA and no signs of yeast...I expect it every round, but with Candex, etc we aren't seeing any signs of it, poop wise or behavior wise. Just had to share, yesterday was a really good day....Kim

Guest guest
Kim, That is great news! It is very encouraging and inspirational to read posts like yours. Every bit of progress gives me such hope for me child's future. We're starting round 6 tomorrow - ALA only. Just tonight my 3.8 year old answered these questions for the first time: " What's your name? " " Are you a boy or a girl? " " What's my name? " and " What's her name? " referring to his sister. I was so happy. Here is to our continued success! KIM [ ] Round 7 - wonderful changes! Just completed Henry's 7th round of DMSA (3rd with ALA) last Saturday.
