Guest guest
Diandra: These are your kids, do not let the pediatrician try to sway you into anything you are not ONE HUNDRED PERCENT sure of. You have all the time in the world to vaccinate your kids. The old schedules when we were kids did not require vaccinations until we were older. What has happened is that they are pushing up the date of the required vaccine and increasing the vaccinations required. There are some really mind boggling vaccines that they are now requiring as well (i.e., strep (PREVNAR) and Varicella). Even if thimerasol is not in the vaccine, I do not know how wise the schedule is. They propose this schedule to get as many kids vaccinated as soon as possible so that people " don't forget. " They are not thinking of the effect on an individual kid. Nor have the studied it before putting out the vaccine to the public. What data they have comes from bad experiences in the field, ie., you and I. We are one big social experiment. I stopped vaccination my second son at 12 months and that was not soon enough. I was stupid enough to give him Varicella (i.e., chickenpox). And to think they want to give one dead virus with 3 live ones? They are now discovering that Varicella causes shingles in children (my first one has it) and probably does not cause life long immunity. It is not a dangerous disease for young kids, but it is for adults. We may be pushing this disease into an older age bracket. Did they think of that before they offered the vaccine to the public? No. Did they put it through trials and study it? No. After putting off the vaccines on one appointment I took my second son in and my pediatrician said " well, he looks good you should get the shot now. " I had just brought him in for a reaction to Sulfa eye drops (thus the concern on the sulfa connection of DMPS), not a day earlier. I looked and her like she was out of her mind and she knew she was wrong (but this is a sensible woman). These pediatricians (no matter how much you love them) are fed a bunch of bull and they regurgitate it to get you (as a member of the herd) vaccinated. I remember her trying to tell me that ethyl mercury was not the same as methyl mercury and I had a Grier study sitting on my bedstand and just started reading it to her. No wonder I cannot keep doctors. (She is still my pediatrician) The long and short is that DO NOT LET ANY ONE CONVINCE YOU, convince yourself first. Take your time, please!!!! And do the MMR separately, it is available. Have your doctor call MERCK, they make it. I was so angry at a friend of mine who just gave this to her daughter not 3 days ago after we had discussed this. She said her doctor convinced her it was OK, and most of the time it is, but not worth it if you are already in a risk group. Guest guest
Hi Diandra, I agree with Merry about not vaccinating your youngest. With you having two kids mercury poisoned already, the risk is just too great. Also, last October, my daughter went in for her 5 yr. check up at the pediatrician and he wanted to give her 4 booster shots. I told him no, I have 2 boys who are mercury poisoned, and I don't want to risk poisoning my daughter. And then the ped. said the vaccines no longer have mercury in them. So I asked him to go get the packaging so I could read it. He returned with one packaging and said the other 3 vaccines on his shelf still have it in there. So...you can't just take the doctor's word for it that the vaccines have no mercury in it. Even aside from the mercury, I just don't feel comfortable with vaccinating at this point. There are so many other terible things they put in the vaccines. And I think this mass routine vaccinating is harming all our kids immune systems as well. There is no doubt in my mind that mass routine vaccinations have one purpose...to FATTEN someone's pocketbook. Something else I want to mention, it was either on this board or another board...someone posted that they used to work in a peds office and they had quotas to meet for giving vaccines, so everyone was encouraged to push them. Sorry for such a long post, but I just want you to realize that you can't believe everything doctor's tell you...follow your gut instinct. > I am new to the group this is my first posting i have been reaging > your postings and they have been very helpfull i have three children > two who are in the spectrum and one that is too young to tell yet he > is 10 months and is doing well he is supposed to get vaccines in two > months and i am scared to death i called my pediatrician and he told > me that the vaccines dont cause it and he said they no longer put the > thermesol in the vaccines but others say that it is still in the > vaccines and im wondering if any one knows for sure if it is or not > any info would be helpfull. > Diandra

Current table of vax/thimerosal http://www.vaccinesafety.edu/thi-table.htm Always check the documentation YOURSELF, because old stock was not recalled, so it is still out there available to be used. To waive vax for your children, find your state here http://home.san.rr.com/via/STATES/allstates.htm Good luck. Dana

They DO put thimerosal in vaccines still, although not in as many as before. It is better, but there ARE still vaccines with thimerosal in them. In addition, since no vaccines were ever recalled due to thimerosal, there is no way to tell how much of the prior ones is still out there (in the cases where the current production is without thimerosal) -- we will not know when it is all used up. Although your doctor may not like it, (and it sounds like he wants to pressure you about it), it is UP TO YOU to decide. Of course, you can tell your doctor nicely that you understand that it is up to you (as are any other treatments). If it is difficult for your doctor to understand this, try saying " I refuse this " . I'm told " refuse " is a word that medical folks are especially receptive to. good wishes, Moria
