Guest guest
Hi Amy, I would have to tell you honestly that I have not even attempted to teach social competance up to this point due to all the physical impediments. My son at times has had such severe bacterial problems that he could have died. Two days ago I started to instruct him on " social graces " if you will.Things like not stuffing your mouth too full of food in a restaurant. I have one thing to ask you about.I hope this is not a social faux pas on my part but today he was at a hair salon and passed gas.He laughed and then said excuse me when I asked him what he thought he should do.Would that qualify? Guest guest
, as a mom of four boys, ages 5 thru 11, I think you did fine. If he is just now 'catching' up in that dept., you also don't want to overly embarrass him. Just like you did, gently correct him, like you would a four year old. He will catch up on his social graces by the time he really needs them. With a mom like you, he will be fine! Jennfer Ruston, Louisiana Re: [ ] R. I am soooo sorry to hear of your loss, coupled with the holidays, and your son going back to training- I will hold you up to the Heavenly Father and ask Him to comfort you and the whole family. Dear dear Rashelle...what a sweet and beautiful note your wrote..so full of love and compassion and care...and i loved your poem. It comforted my heart also. > > I recently lost my mother in law on Sept 22 and have been remodeling the house she lived in so we could move from our condo to the house. It has taken me weeks just to clean out all she had 'gathered' through her 90 years. But I am feeling such grief... since she and my father in law were more like parents to me in some ways than my own. His father passed 4 years ago..they left behind his sister (70) , who is not emotionally stable, and his brother who is 65 and has lived with the parents since his ! 20's...he is paranoid schitzophrenic and so now my husband is in charge of his care. ..we placed him in a nearby high quality Assisted Living. All this to say that my life has completely changed in so many ways since her death, and I ache over them...they were so encouraging to me and my husband. > anyway..I want you to know, that as I am grieving, I will now remember you and your family... > with love, Sue > > > ---------------------------------------------------------- -------- > Looking for last minute shopping deals?
