Guest guest
Alyssa, Where do you live? Denver has a sarcoidosis speciality clinic, so does Seattle, and Los Angeles. There are several on the East coast-- so let us know and we'll see what we can find listed. Sincerely, Tracie NS co-owner/moderator
Guest guest
I'm not sure where you live, and I haven't been diagnosed with neuro, but I live in land and just started going to a sarcoid clinic at s Hopkins in Baltimore with good results. If you live in the area, give them a call. You can email me directly and I'll give you all the contact information and which doctor I use. Hope this helps... I realize its a rare sort of beast, but are there places in north america, or canada, even, that pay special attention to sarc? I just feel like my GP is giving me the half-a**ed treatment here. Can anyone reccomend a place to help a neurosarc like me? I'm only 24 and I want to get on with life! Guest guest
Alyssa, My name is Todd, I have NS since Oct of 04 and I went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. There is a Dr named J. Askamit he's a nuerologist who specializes in NS. When I seen him he said he was working on over 80 other cases of NS. Here's Mayo Clinics phone # . I hope this helps! Guest guest
I'm currently living in Prince BC. A city that does not even have a neurosurgeon. One nuerologist only, and it takes months to see him. There is, however, and MRI here. Any testing beyond that requires me to be air ambulanced to Kelowna BC or Vancouver, and I've done so many times!. So, since I have to travel great distances for medical care anyway, I thought I might aim for a sarcoid clinic next time. Seattle is probably the closest....do you have a link or website for me to check the place out?
