Guest guest
Welcome back Rose!!! But you can keep the snow in Indy LOL I'm glad you had a nice time on your trip. I had my treatment & a chest xray Thursday & my mri today. Wish me luck that this CYTOXAN CRAP is doing it's job. I saw the financial list today at the mri imaging place & I don't qualify so it's deeper in debt I go. As long as they keep seeing me I'll just keep racking up the bills. They opened up the HUD lists yesterday & I've got my application to fill out just don't have enough brain cells to do it yet. Chemo brain fog is deep right now. My mother had surgery to repair her aortic abdominal aneurysm today & it seems to have gone well. grannylunatic@... __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Thanks, Darlene. Sam helped me take down the tree & box up the decorations, then she took them up into the attic. THEN, she asked if she could rearrange the living room furniture. I was amazed at how much roomier it was. Maybe she should be an interior decorator! But the best part was the curtains. I had some off-white kind of patterny sheers that were about 8 years old & the cats had pretty much ripped up the hems. So I went to Walmart (across the street; ain't I lucky?) & bought some cheap "vanilla" lace sheers to put up there. I didn't realize how filthy the old ones were until I saw them next to the new ones! Yuck. The new ones look so pretty. The whole room is so enviting now. Well, except for the rows & stacks of boxes & sacks by the hallway that I need to go through. But now, like you say, I am so tired & my hip hurts so bad, plus my feet have a new sensation they are trying out--like hot knives & shards of glass, instead of the usual room temp knives & glass. I doubled my Lyrica dose tonight. Darlene, I try to take each day as it comes & just do what I can. But I feel like I am losing ground all the time. The other morning I woke up & just didn't want to get out of bed because so many things were flitting through my mind. I didn't have anything handy to write them down & knew I would forget them by the time I got out of bed! Important things. I told myself, just chip away at it, just one thing at a time. The problem is, I feel like I'm chipping away at a mountain of stuff, and meanwhile somebody's on the other side with a, whattacallit, scoop loader tractor thing, piling on more stuff! I mean, I accomplished a tremendous amount in the last 2 days, but I've still lost ground. I've become bipolar--euphoric one moment because my living room now looks inviting, but lower than a worm the next because I have to negotiate a minefield just to get into bed. Any suggestions, anyone? Actually, I should ask the whole group, so I think I'll cut & paste this into a group email. Hope y'all are doing "good enuff" & I'll keep picking at my mountain with my spoon. Darlene, I hope you are enjoying Florida. I am hating Indiana, with this obscene weather. If I wanted winters like this, I'd go to Florida with you! Where's my snow??? Debbie, how are things with you and yours? Tracie, I don't remember when you come back--hell, you're probably already back--but I sure hope you enjoyed the vacation. I would love to see the Pacific coast again. I was in Portand & Seattle just once, almost 5 years ago. It was almost as good as snow. Any news from Kim? Do any of you have a phone # for her? Is it frightfully expensive to call Kuwait? Well, hasta luego (until later) mis amigas. Guest guest
Oh, my. Was your mother's surgery an emergency or did she have a known aneurysm & went in for scheduled surgery? Sounds like things have been a little wild for you; hope it settles down now. Guest guest
Her surgeon has been watching it for the last couple of years & it stayed the same size & all of a sudden it started to get larger so they scheduled the surgery. Mom gave me a website to go to & it was pretty interesting. They put in a graft & also a sensor so they don't have to give her a cat scan every time to check it. They'll be able to wave this thing over it like in the airport & it will pick up a signal letting the dr know what the pressure is in vein. grannylunatic@... __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi Rose, I have been around all through the holidays. My family is all closeby so we don't have to go far. We had a good Christmas and New Year's . My oldest son is going back to college this weekend. My middle son is applying to colleges for next year. My youngest son can't wait till he's the only one around so he can be king!!! lol Otherwise, my health is about the same. I have my good days and bad days just like everyone else. My legs and hips bother me a lot too. Usually with the cold weather they get really bad. Even the duragesic patch and the vicodin doesn't help the pain. I think Tracie still is gone on her trip. SHe will probably be back this weekend. She sounded very excited about it. Good for her. Darlene has been around every day though. Kim hasn't been on. She must be still really sick. Tracie may have her number or may know how to contact her. You could ask her when she gets back. You take it easy and welcome back!!!!! Luv, DebbieRose wrote: Thanks, Darlene.
