Is this your first round? If it is, I would leave it. I did this a time,

and it caused problems....

If you get through the round, and its pretty uneventful- (even after the

round), then up it.

[ ] Chelating NOW -- OK to up ALA?

Hello,

We are chelating our 8yo son, Adam, 55lbs. Every three hours during

day; every four at night. We've only given him two doses so far, at

5pm and 8pm 35mg DMSA and a 50mgALA divided into thirds (around

17mg). He has been absolutely fine. We're thinking about increasing

the ALA to 25mg for the rest of the time.

Please advise!

Many thanks,

Janet

Do you also divide the 35mg of DMSA in 3 doses?

I started the first few rounds with 1/6 of body weight. After 40

rounds, I give 1/3 of body weight. It is better to start slowly and

see after a few rounds. Increasing doses might create side effects

that could prevent you from chelating the following week end. This is

just my opinion. Side effects usually appear at the last day of the

round and the next day.
