Guest guest
It does not mean you have too much calcium in your body. High hair levels implies that your body is wasting it, so your probably low instead. You have deranged minerals which means just that, the results are deranged, and not reliable for measuring body burden. The ca/mg balance is not crucial to blood sugar managment, it's just an indicator of it. You can't improve the ratio until you remove the metals. But anyone mercury toxic should take calcium and magnesium. Almost none of us are too high in calcium. Many of us have blood sugar issues also. It's due to a few things that mercury does..one, it slows your adrenals. Which regulate blood sugar. Two, it does stuff to your thyroid, and the rest of your endocrine system. Treating your adrenals, and taking chromium picolinate with every meal and before bed will help, while you undergo chelation. Also, watching what you eat. Make sure to always have protein with any carbs. No refined carbs either. I would not use manganese unless you KNOW for a fact that you are low in it. Please check Andy's book on using manganese. He does not recomend it unless you meet certain symptoms or show clear deficiency. Also, Vit K will help your body utilize calcium properly..not lower it. The chromium helps tremendously with managing this symptoms. But essentially you need to treat the mercury issue. Also, some find cinnamon extract helpful. > > My question is why the Ca/Mg balance is so crucial to blood sugar > balance, and how I can improve it. You can find out more here http://www.arltma.com/RatiosDoc.htm Some of Dr Eck/'s opinions difffer from Andy but the overall info is very close. Guest guest
Thanks Jan. I tried taking calcium and it made my blood sugar problems a lot worse, so I stopped. This made me conclude that I have a lot of calcium in my body, instead of in my bones, and it is messing with insulin production. I have heard of people taking Epsom Salt baths and getting massive blood sugar crashes, so I guess it depends on whether you are high in magnesium or calcium. I already do the small, frequent protein, low carb meals, and tried chromium. Did nothing for me. In fact no supplement for blood sugar has really made a difference, my adrenals are fully supported, and I am pretty much there with my thyroid dose. I have a snack before bed, and I have to eat something during the night also, to keep blood sugar up. I have lost so much sleep due to this it is unreal. I think the blood sugar thing will not resolve until the mercury is gone, and the calcium level comes down. There has already been some movement - my first hair analysis showed a ratio of 55 (!), post amalgam removal this came down to 46. Still a way to go....
